I went to my local academy to see the firearm section . I went , was window shopping, and I saw a particular firearm I wanted to look at , I asked for help from the employee behind the counter , but he completely ignored me , I asked again, "Can you help me?" In a little bit louder tone, The employee looked me in a disgusting way and told me to "wait "In a horrible tone. Then, a couple of minutes of him doing nothing , he attended me . I gave him my ID card to see a firearm in the display, and he gave me the firearm . I told him this is a famous pistol known for being horrible, funny looking ,for the memes, and I would love to purchase this firearm But the employee said, and I quote, " I AM NOT GOING TO SELL YOU FIREARM BECAUSE OF MEMES." I said why exactly because that's not a valid reason to decline me. The employee said and quote " I will not be going to sell you this firearm because it will be under my name for 20 years."

I said, "Okay , give me my ID back." When he gave me my ID card, the employee scratched it on the display glass . There's couple of scratches on my ID card now.

I walked away. Then I saw that same employee in the front of the store . I asked him If he can give me his name and the employee said " what for?" I asked again. can I have your name? But the employee said and quote" No, I'm not giving you my name."

I asked to speak to speak to a supervisor , But the employee looked at me and completely ignored me and walked away.

Trash...

Long line like always. A mess everywhere, 2-4 cashiers. Nobody wants to work here cause how cheap academy is when it comes to wages for cashiers/and other depts. internationals ripping and damaging items for discounts. Items without prices, expired promos, and that annoying intercom going back and forth with “repeat last page”. Nobody in footwear. Then your get an automated response by the “owner” after leaving a review. Copy and pasted. What a shame. cashiers at customer service brag and Trash Talk customers making fun of them for throwing a rant after being in line for up to an hour. Also cashiers complain about others calling in for this very reason. Trash, overflowing inside and outside. Academy needs to pay them more if they want loyalty. Even curbside takes forever. I’ve held back at leaving a review more months, maybe years but I’m fed up and how poorly the store is being managed. An hour wait for a pair of shoes is RIDICULOUS. Ffs what a letdown. Used to be looking forward to going to academy but My how things changed. I’d leave 1/4 of a...

Very bad customer service. Made an order that was supposed to be ready for pick up on June 22th. When I went they gave different excuses and then said that UPS had gone before they opened. That maybe UPS would come back later. That it would probably be ready for pick up later on the day or in the morning. I went today again and they said it was not there yet. I explained to the gentleman there that my order was supposed to be ready for pick up since Thursday. He went to check in the back and said that it was in the load that was in the back but that he was informed that they wouldn't open it until Monday. My order was paid for and they wanted me to come back until Monday because they didn't want to unload the merchandise they received a few days ago. I ordered the things to be picked up at the store because it would have been delivered faster, I will never order things to be delivered to this location anymore. McAllen location, at least be honest instead of having people waiting and thinking their items have not...
