I attended a pharmaceutical dinner presentation here — it was my first time visiting the restaurant. The ambiance was pleasant, and the space overall had a nice atmosphere. However, I’m giving the atmosphere rating 3 stars mainly because of the uncomfortable drop in room temperature; at one point, it became noticeably hot, which detracted from the evening.
Service was another area where things fell short. It seemed disorganized, especially considering this was a planned event. My appetizer was significantly delayed — while the rest of my group had nearly finished theirs, I still hadn’t been served. There was no explanation or apology from the server, which added to the frustration. By the time my appetizer arrived, the main course was already being served to others.
I also requested a lemonade, which took quite a while to arrive. Unfortunately, what I received initially wasn’t what I ordered — it looked like lemonade but tasted bitter and unpleasant. Again, correcting the drink took longer than it should have.
Three of us at the table ordered the New York steak. I was immediately concerned when no one asked how we wanted our steaks cooked — a basic detail in steak service. When the steaks arrived, we were shocked: they were cold. That alone was disappointing, but it also raised questions about how they’re prepared and held before serving. They attempted to redeem the situation by bringing the steak out again on a hot plate (photo attached), but the meat was tough and didn’t resemble a typical NY cut. It was served medium-well, while I personally prefer my steak medium.
Overall, I believe Doble M has potential but failed to deliver on the fundamentals during this visit — especially for a hosted professional event. The ambiance was promising, but the food quality and service execution left a lot...
Read moreBeautiful place and great presentation on food was overshadowed by the worst service ever in history. Upon arriving at 940 we were sat at a nice table and when i got up to wash my hands a server walked up to our party and told us the kitchen was closed and they were closing in 1 hr waiting for our response to get up and walk out. After hearing about this i speak to the hostess and was told that she did not know why the server said that misleading information since they closed the kitchen at 10 not 940. It was obvious they didnt want us there. After finally ordering all 3 courses at once our drinks arrived halfway through our meal extremely late. Our steak was left unattended for 5 min on a rolling cart while people walked right by our food until finally being presented. At every moment possible the rude server kept making comments and letting us know that they were closing at 11. Rather than letting us enjoy our expensive meal we kept being rushed at every turn from removing our forks and spoons which we were still using, to our drinks being removed while still half full thheu really made our night a memorable moment of what not to expect at a place like this. At one point in the evening other employees were hovering near our table saying 11 more than once as to letting us know it was time to leave. This was by far the worst experience we ever had in our entire life. It is so sad that not even a manager came and addressed the situation. LA DOBLE M definitely not the place to experience anything memorable more like...
Read moreIf you're going to market your restaurant as an upscale establishment with 5 star prices, then you must deliver a dinning experience with impeccable service, neither of which we received last night. Bread service had to be requested twice, The shrimp tacos were sub par and the tortillas were totally uncooked, you can find better at any local taqueria in town for half the price. The staff was painfully unfamiliar with the menu and erroneously provided information that only led to disappointment. My sister asked for a to go box that never came. The atmosphere is extremely loud and chaotic. It just looked Messy and disorganized on every level. Guests had to constantly wave their hands in the air to get anyone's attention. Not what you would expect when the average per person check is $100. And then to top it all off, They add 18% gratuity for the atrocious service they provide and take it upon themselves to not give you proper change back. My bill was $92.17 (for one person) paid with a $100 bill, got back $7. Don't get me wrong, most of us will tip generously when we feel we have received outstanding service but when you are being obligated to pay for inadequate service for an establishment with 5 star menu prices is very disappointing. Needless to say We will not be retuning. If I may make only one suggestion, it would be to Train the Staff Better. They are far from delivering the service and dining experience you are...
