This is the second service visit for my 2023 GMC Sierra. Both have been recall items.
The first visit was for a software update and I wasn't thrilled. I believe the software update was performed but the GMC app didn't indicate anything happened.
This recent visit was the L87 engine recall. I'm not sure GMs solution makes sense. As I understand it my truck was I identified as most like having an engine produced during production runs with defective parts. My engine passed inspection and got an oil change with 0-40W oil. Now the new recommend oil for my truck. I understand my warranty for the engine has been extended. Not sure my engine is going to be good going forward.
