Today was unfortunately one of the WORST and most HORRIBLE customer service experience that I've had since being a HEB customer 17 years ago. I simply went into HEB store looking for Nido (powered milk) for my baby, I was unable to find it after looking and looking for a bit I asked a guy that worked in the Bakery section he said he would call someone in Grocery section over to help me find it or see what other stores may have it. After no help for 10 mins I went up to the front and asked for the manager there. The cashier manager tried to call someone from Grocery dept also, but no one came for a while... after another 10-15 mins finally a store manager I believe came and tried to help me. I had already told them if they didn't have it, then I needed to find another store that did. After the manager had someone go look for the item AGAIN the said they didn't have it in stock, I already knew that, so wasting more time I needed to know what store did have it? He called one store which took him 10 mins and that store said they didn't have it either. I got fed up waiting with the lack of help, support, service and understanding that I left and we're going to find another store for our baby's needs.
I am puzzled to why employees at HEB can't simply look into a computer and inventory to see what stores have an item. That would be simple and helpful.
This horrible service has left me very upset with the lack of service from this...
Read moreI’m very disappointed. This is my closest HEB and I feel I cannot shop here because of the disregard to parishable items. First I bought a salmon fillet kept in a free standing cooling case with no cover to regulate temperature and got very sick. Then they moved certain items from a closed cooling case to another open cooling case such as half and half and other dairy items. When I bought my half and half it began curdling after only 2 days. Open cooling cases cannot regulate temperature accurately and is putting food items at risk for bacteria and customers at risk to get ill or waste their money. Also most of their yogurt and cottage cheese is still on the shelves with way over due experation dates. This makes me concerned for all perishable items at this HEB and alll others I have shopped at. This is actually something I have found very common at all markets throughout the valley. Please check for experation dates and quality of your perishable items. We all work hard to make our money to feed our families safely. Just because it is on the shelf does not mean that it is good or safe. Trying to find someone in the store who gives a damn is a joke and is disappointing to know that wasting food is no big deal to people in the business to...
Read moreHEB always has the freshest, cleanest produce. Their fruits and vegetables are always very well preserved with both refrigeration and cool mist. They seem to be very concerned about this issue as I never find old or bruised items. The management at this HEB (and most) is always behind the registers, eager to help customers along, ushering them to the fastest way out. The staff at this store is also usually very helpful. In particular, I would like to mention a grocer named Albert, who went way out of his way to help me, even though he was very busy stocking vegetables when I reached out to him. Albert not only agreed to load a heavy watermelon into my cart, but found an even better one for me than the one I'd chosen. At home, I learned it was perfect. This truly altruistic behavior for the benefit of a nameless customer is the very epitome of...
