If you come to this store hoping to collect some Rae Dunn items, I would suggest going to a different TJ Maxx. The most sought after items are hidden in the store by a certain employee so that her friend and the friends family members can go right to that secret hiding place and retrieve them. A group of us are close to figuring out which employee is doing this so that we can report this employee to corporate. It has gotten so bad at this store that now all of the collectors have to search the store just to find hidden items. All of the hunters are now suspecting James from the back stockroom is up to no good. He seems very interested in what items the hunters are always buying and he will mysteriously show up at the registers while some of us check out with our items. The other cashiers even give him a bewildered look like why are you up here? Little does this store know is that their problems are actually stemming from their employees now. If you didn't have shady employees hiding items then you wouldnt have desperate collectors who are now trying to stalk the store. Collector's are poorly treated and I have never been more disappointed and dissatisfied. A while back, I finally found the last piece to my collection that I needed. The piece had a small hairline crack in it, and I didn't care but decided to see if I could get a slight discount on it. That was my first and last mistake. Right away the lady working the floor told me that she didn't think they could sell it to me because of the small crack. I told her that I still really wanted it no matter what. I was devastated. I asked the lady to please do whatever she could do to help me out so that I could still buy it. It would be a shame to see them discard it in a dumpster. What I actually think happened is that another employee wanted it for themselves or for the friend that they hide items in the store for. It was a wierd turn of events after the manager was called over. I truly believe this store has some shady business going on with certain sought after items. The manager was quite blunt, rude, insensitive and unsympathetic. She literally snatched it out of my hand and walked away to put it behind the counter. I will not hesitate to give corporate the names of the rude workers and shady managers who run this place. I've witnessed managers turn their name badges around so you cant see their names and when certain people stock shelves they will stop stocking and push their carts back into the stockroom if they know your looking for something specific. If this is how they treat their customers then I will never shop here again. I was nothing but nice and they were still downright rude to me. They seem to have something against us nice collectors who are doing nothing more than giving them business and job security. Apparently this manager either wanted this piece for herself or knew someone else who wanted it. If I didn't point out that small crack I would have been able to buy it. The cashier never would have noticed it. Next time I know to say nothing at all. Cracked and chipped pieces are still sold all the time on the clearance shelf. Now that we know that one of the employees at this store has been hiding some hard to find pieces for a friend the word has gotten out and many shoppers are watching the employees closely. I will spread the word about how awful they are. This is not my first bad experience with them. I will be sure to make everyone aware of your poor service and shady...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI love(d) TJ MAXX and the sister stores. HOWEVER...I'm done with TJ Maxx. On September 8 I bought an exquisite hooped princess dress that is considered a Halloween costume (but was buying it for dress up play purpose) for my 7 yr old for Christmas. $40. Knowing i wasn't giving it to her until Christmas, I considered waiting until after Halloween to get it on sale. But there was only one as exquisite as that, and so i bought it. In conversation since then, my granddaughter mentioned she wasn't into dress up much anymore. So i decided to return it. Nope. They will not return the "Halloween" costume. Doesn't matter that i have the receipt. Doesn't matter that it's CLEARLY never been worn. Said there were signs saying there would be no returns on costumes. I bought the huge monstrosity before there were ANY signs saying that. They were rude and would not even THINK to...

I returned it for a store credit and was 'denied' saying "I have too many returns" What?? I just opened this credit card earlier in the year since my wife shops here...I'm done. I don't want this card....I found out that TJX SCANS your D.L. and the info goes to a 3RD Party....after identity theft a couple of years ago, I am still suffering from it and TJX denied my return without a receipt??? They should not be scanning people's driver's license and I had absolutely No idea what they were talking about....we will donate the sweater, but I will not shop there again and I want to warn others of this 'practice' of scanning and reporting to 3rd party....that is why there is so...
