Came in for a large cookie dough blizzard, (my order they did was correct) but the medium blizzard was supposed Carmel Chocolate cheesecake. When I got to the window, they NEVER confirmed my order, they just told me 11.99 or something close to that price and handed me a different item that I never asked for. When the individual opened the window to give the debit back (unsure if unkown order was canceled), I also never received a receipt for that unknown purchase nor asked if id like a receipt (which in a food business, it's legally required to provide a receipt or ask if id like one) I told them this isn't what I order, the individual gave me attitude then proceeded to ask "then what was your order". I told them my order twice then the individual came back to the window after talking to one of the co-workers and told us, it was going to be four extra dollars. The individual charged the card again and when I got the card back, I NEVER received a receipt again nor was I asked if I wanted a receipt. So I asked for receipt, that individual shut the window and stated "now he's asking for a receipt" to a coworker, probably thinking I couldn't hear all that good. I did receive my receipt and both blizzards WITH lids we "NEVER" asked for. But when we pulled away, we discovered that BOTH blizzards were milky and the medium "Carmel Chocolate cheesecake" was just a 2 piece Chocolate piece and 2 peice cheesecake peice with NO Carmel. I went back to see if the order could be corrected, but the individual stated "we already took a bite out the blizzard and she made it" we never took a bit or should I call it a "ship" of the blizzard since it was extremely milky. But the individual refused to make a new blizzard because she stated "she put two scoops of everything in it. 1, that was a complete lie, but the individual stated she can just put extra Carmel in it, if liked. But that wouldn't change the fact that NOTHING else was in it. 2 small peices of cheesecake and chocolate and I'm being ask if I wanted extra Carmel. No I wanted an actual medium caramel chocolate cheesecake and NOT no Medium Vanilla/ Carmel Blizzard or should I say again sweet milk. I'll never be back...
Read moreWent to the Dairy Queen in McHenry on Schaid twice this week with 2 different family members. Today when we walked in and there were 5/FIVE employees just standing there having a grest conversation like we werent even there. After a few minutes we finally got waited on. BUT, both times I was NOT able to use my gift cards. They were able to take my credit though! They had NO explanation, just that the manager told them that. SO, I called around town and the other Dairy Queens are accepting them. STAY AWAY FROM THE MCHENRY DAIRY QUEEN if you want to use your gifts cards.
7/20/2024 I'm an idiot. I went back to the Dairy Queen to buy gift card. Of course I should have know better not go to this store again, but I didnt. They couldnt sell me one. THIS TIME......there were 2 young boys (maybe 8 or 9) behind the counter playing with all the candy toppings. Taking some of this and putting back others. Then grandma came out. I feel the health department should be called out. I will be contacting Dairy Queen headquarters. STAY AWAY...

We werent given a receipe first time after purchase to have proof of purchase so I am refused item for my child... after waiting in line 25 minutes cant really go back in line for a receipt(husband should have gotten but he didnt check) now second time I have receipt I made sure to get sure enough missing same size and flavor blizzard.... The very much dislike larger orders very rude about ordering multiple items. Sorry some of us having bigger families.... Management always likes to not listen to my issues I had ordering and sugar coats it like the employees did nothing wrong. Management doesn't seem to care and that's fine :) We definitely wont be returning to this location. The worst location I have ever gone too honestly. I am very disappointed this location is very close to our new home too. Receipts should be given unless customer says they dont want it..very strange they are never given here...
