In August 2014, my world was turned upside down. Instead of referring others to a criminal defense lawyer, I found myself in need of one. I had never needed a criminal defense lawyer, and when faced with a life changing arrest, it was my turn. I’ve known Tony all of my life and knew I could place my life in his hands, which is exactly what I did. He put everything he had as early as he could-the grand jury phase of this process. Keep in mind that the criminal defense lawyer is not allowed to appear before the grand jury. The only thing he could do was give me a voice and convey my truth in the form of a written grand jury packet. My nightmare ended when the grand jury rendered a no bill. No one ever wakes up and says " today I'm going to jail". We make mistakes and look for those who are understanding and know how to help. Then there those who treat us like hardened criminals and throw us in jail. When I learned I had a warrant for DWI 2nd. My heart fell out and my mind was racing. Before i knew it i was in jail calling relatives left and right. If you've ever had to do this at mid night there aren't many that will answer.
