Motel 6 McKinney, TX - North — Hotel in McKinney

Motel 6 had not made my short list, or long list. It's vibe form the outside lighting screams run! However having no AC in my home, and a U-Hall having my car blocked in, being optimistic was the only option. ||No real expectation on anything here, I am starting down at this gentlemen and told him my name, and he said there was call made. ||||Unsure of everything I started to steer the conversation, asking about the rooms, the price for two nights in case the ac was fixed earlier. I provided him with my ID card, and the card with the name I choose to identify as. I deal with this a lot as a trans women but I'm more concerned on making sure there were no joining rooms, and if I could be on a high floor and away from elevators. ||||I see that he's doing less typing because he's fixed on why I have nails. I don't feel it's important but I shared, my pronouns are not HE/HIM/HIM/SIR. I am required to carry that for the moment but paperwork is in the process. But my name is on the card using. I had my hand extended out for him to hand me back my ID as I handed him mine, when he put it on the counter and proceed to slide it down, and said Sir, you won't be able to use that card. I share with him I carry papers that lets you know I identity as Trans etc. He didn't care and take my card and does the same thing for a second time. ||I was told to use the ATM machine that service fee was higher than a gas station, or a chain back ATM. ||||Respect is always important and my hands are tired, I'm tired I would rather get to bed and have that raw raw in the morning. ||||I was asked for my ID again because the typing me was doing wasn't for my check in. I grab some ice and I am waiting for him to peck each letter with one finger. ||The hallway had the odder that was clearly from a flooding or overflowing of something because of the mildew stench. I walk to my room 105 and the door had not connected. I didn't have to use my key and one hard push and door flew open. I look around the room and I close the door and walk back to the front, By chance may i get a room that does smell and that is clean. ||||His hand was already in the cash draw and was trying to void the transition. ||I need a different room. Well he said we're sold out! You can take it or leave it. Make your decision now. At this point my bag is on the ground and I am thinking again you are NOT going to win, can't call anyone, phone died, and who in their right mind, would come to Motel 6. ||||That I got you smile was breaking me and I know ain't no way every room was booked because when occupancy is close to being sold out , the rate be be up there fluffing the clouds. ||The TV remove was covered with something. and i go to the window and pull back the curtain. There was no way housekeeping had been in that room because first glance this room has been down. ||||Scanning the room from Left : (The TV with the Wall) has a shelf that runs the length of the TV. Here you will see that there is at least a inch of dust that coats the top of it and a three level storage with the matching coat on and all over it. Below the TV hanging like it was there for drying was a white shirt and black socks. ||Following the wall the AC control with the room setting at on 85. I step over and around the black area on the floor because my flip flops would get stuck. The curtains on the wall have this texture that had me grossed out. The window being cracked made me pull it complete back someone has broken the lock and they failed to replace or repair. ||To my Right. ||The College Ice Box is dirty and I without you telling me the sky is blue. I find someone's work gloves on top and I open the ice box to find drinks that had fuzzy stuff covering. You have no idea what I have waiting for me and it's bread Crum's or flakes of something. Pillows dirty and top sheet used. ||||There's no way at t this point where I see myself getting in that bed, I can at least shower. I am turned around when I see the lights as they are turning around. This gonna be good no more rooms. I grab my keys and take myself a smoke outside. When I got around the the back of the hotel. There was a payment taken and she was directed to the elevator. ||||I would see anther situation where the person got the key went to get her a bag and up the elevator. ||||I see! I see! I see! My skin wasn't the right shade for a decent or clean room. ||I am screwed and have to must ride it out. I have nothing but this shower in mind. ONLY to find that the shower had towel that looked and smelled like a gym locker. I am beyond done, I am beyond patient and I am not feeling the Leaving the light on feeling to be honest. I take my personal towel out of my bag and lay one in the tub and started to shower, I then took another to dry off and the last one was or me to sit in the chair, ||The roaches that came from behind the bed sparked my frustration to another level I quickly get cloths out the bag when I see one crawling up the wall. ||||I now have tossed my cloths& toiletry's in the middle of the bed shaking them out and tossing into my bag. instantly zipping up everything and started shaking out my other bags. Trying to be positive I kept telling myself at least your not sweating. Even after 3 or 4 times I had reached my limit. The front desk is telling me sales are final, and that I didn't see anyone check in after me. Now I asked that I be address how I wanted to be and I was not going to stress it more but my ID isn't what you see. But that wasn't it. That car from earlier. Pulling up. I walk outside and sparked up a convo about her stay. ||||I had nothing else to say because it wasn't the last room but I was the problem. Calling one of my co workers to see about another property and if he could pick me up, he wanted me to wait it out. Being confined to the chair that had my towel draping it. I made a call and a friend was going to be in the area now I'm boiling hot because if in fact that this being it's last room, and If I wasn't me, would this room be offered? So I'm trying to find my phone so I can start searching for names and numbers. ||||Wouldn't have been so tolerating and accepting of this before now quickly being pushed over in fear. I had to suck it up and started video taping everything I wanted to document this. This was the standard and what you should expect. in the middle of doing that, I am leaving the door heading to the bathroom when I hear someone back at the door, and the digital key sound is coming form the other side. I slide to the side of the door and as this nose comes through the door, I see who I thought to be a housekeeper with the cleaning cart behind her. ||||Your checking out today? ||From the folio it says that I would be out by 11, but better yet lets figure out why you enter my room without announcing yourself? As you can see I don't have any cloths on and I now in a position to have company. ||She back out slowly as she trying to scan the room. Learned from housekeeping that she has a habit of getting into guest room with dark skin. ||I shared with the ladies how I felt that the culture was dark, and aggressive and it was clear that this wasn't new or ever going to stop because of who they were. I hated herring that because no matter price point being comfortable and save. Having my privacy invaded is the is so on point of why they were quick to discriminate against me. They should really be ashamed. Out of all the motel 6 chains that I have ever been to this is not remotely close up to motel 6 standards. The people who run the place is very very racist. I did nothing to be treated like I was. He was very dismissive and yelled at me every chance he got. I passed out, due to over exhaustion and was robbed of my valuables and simply asked to run the camera back to see exactly what he could tell me and he told me to basically get out of his face and that I was causing problems. I did nothing but spend over $600 dollars at this hotel for business. I am a disabled veteran and I am fairly young and to be treated this way hardened my heart against foreigners being in America and running businesses. I only came out my room to work, I figured it's because I am black and of American black culture so I look a specific way which is no reason to treat anyone with any manner of disrespect. I was still respectful throughout his disrespect. Besides that they have roaches, not just a few pest that come inside from leftover food but a complete infestation I do have audio and video from this hotel which I will use against them in a lawsuit. The roaches are out of hand and the pet friendly hotel had fleas and bedbugs in which I have proof. I have posted them all over social media for their disgusting acts and place of business. Furthermore I made a complaint to corporate and I have yet to receive a call or email. I made the complaint November 4th and made another complaint today which is November 9th and nothing has been done about the situation. I didn't ask for a refund or to be compensated in any way. I simply just asked for corporate to checkout or into whomever they hired to run the hotel. The property manager goes by the name of Jackie and he is a guy from a different country and whoever heets run operations while he's gone, is also from a different country which does not matter to me at all. I stated that to be very descriptive when the next person books there they can tell who is who. This has been the worst customer service I've ever experienced. This is my very first visit to any Motel 6. The 1st problem I encountered was false advertising. Online AND on the building the price stated $49.99. Online this price was for single AND double bedded rooms. When I called I was informed that "we are out of single rooms so you will be in a double that will be $69.99". The second problem I encountered was that the employee behind the counter was more interested in his phone and seemed really tired and ungrateful for my business and was just draining to listening to. The third problem that I encountered was there was no shampoo/conditioner/lotion. What hotel DOES NOT provide these??? I encountered much more issues through out the first hour of my stay. -Toilet had pubic hair and pee on the seat and bowl which prompted me to buy cleaner at a local convenient store, -As I turned on the lights when I walked into the room, one of the lights over the desk didn't work so working on my school work was difficult because there was not enough light, -I couldn't use one of the plugs on the outlet provided above the desk because the plug was very loose and my plug kept falling out, -I understand that I got a smoking room, but the cigarette burns and holes in the comforters is NOT acceptable as well as stains on the sheets, -Bath tub was dirty resulting in ME cleaning the bathtub after previous tenants, -I had to ask for more towels because there were not enough provided, -on your website it states that some type of breakfast would be provided but to my dismay there is NO type of breakfast provided causing me to spend MORE money than what was in my budget to buy breakfast locally, -upon walking into the bathroom there are loose floor tiles. I could have went down the road and paid $20 more then what I paid here tonight and get a really nice suite. After everything I had to buy I ended up paying almost $100 to stay one night here. I am already settled in and its almost 4am so I do not want to relocate. I was not informed in ANY type of "hidden expenses" hence the cleaning supplies to clean the bathroom. I have a reservation for a single room tomorrow and I will keep it because it's at the correct price but this is BY FAR the worst hotel I have ever been...
