I struggled with rather to post this or just not return, but decided I would to try to help out other parents and people in general. It is very obvious that the staff plays favorites in here. I go in maybe once a month to buy meat as it is a 30min drive for me. I donât live in Mebane so Iâm not in there every day like Iâm sure some people are. Friday I went in to purchase meat for a trip weâre going on. 1 year old in tow. they do not have any child friendly carts (which I had forgotten, so thatâs on me), so Iâm carrying a toddler while pushing a cart getting my things. Not going to lie, Iâm struggling. Finally get all my stuff and up to the register and the cashier barely acknowledged me let alone offered to help get all my stuff out of the cart. I get it up on the counter finally, she scans and bags it, and me still struggling grabs all my bags to leave while still holding my baby of course. But what really got me was next register over the cashier offered to help a perfectly capable middle aged man out to his car that had bought less than me but they obviously knew and was a âlocalâ. That is what really topped off the entire experience. I wouldnât have accepted the help out to the car because i never want to put anyone out, but the fact that no one even thought to offer help to a struggling mom is beyond me. Most of my experiences in kenyons have been like this (not the friendliest staff etc) but this is the experience I will finally stop giving them my business over. It is sad, because the meat and produce are great quality, hence the 2...
Read moreWe have lived near Kenyons for awhile but missed out on them because we generally do not shop where they are located. That has been our misfortune. While we were searching for a standing rib roast for Christmas dinner and someone told us about Kenyons, so we shopped there. We ordered the roast and were very pleased with the meat quality and price, and the welcoming by the employees. Since then we have added fresh produce and fruit from Kenyons. We found their prices to be fair, and generally less than the large grocery stores. However, their products are far better than grocery stores. They have lots of speciality products that usually one can only find in deli markets. Kenyons reminds me of the small corner store that used to exist in the 50', 60's and 70's, before the big box stores took over. Kenyons is now our go to store for meats, fresh produce and fruits. We just bought fresh asparagus and strawberries that are farm fresh quality. Don't miss...
Read moreI was referred here by a neighbor. I went to buy exatly what I needed. Purchased some cub steak and a few other things.
*It seemed fresh when leaving the store. However, when I got home, I noticed the packaging did not have a package date neither did it have a when to buy by date on the label. I froze the meat that day so if fresh no browning would have occured.
I purchased the meat on friday 7/3/2020 to cook today sunday 7/5/2020. You can see WHERE the meat was packaged where the better parts of the meat was bright red to look healthy.
However as I went to season the meat today, the inside or the opposite sides were totally brown. I refuse to eat the meat as it is not quality. This is not what I expected and will return the meat today to see the...
