We had 4 original pieces framed about 6 months ago, and planned to do a few more. We observed the life size cardboard cut out of Donald Trump in the studio area, but didn’t experience any issues at the time and the work was done well and only a few days later than originally expected. However, I participated in the Women’s March at the EGAD square this past weekend, and as I walked by the shop, saw the lady who did our framing shouting at us and giving thumbs down. There were children directly in front of me that also witnessed her behavior— one little girl’s sign read “Girls can do Anything.” I waved at the lady and reminded her of our art and recent business and she yelled “don’t kill babies” at me. My wife had Jody at Art Expressions mat and frame my Shellback certificate (proof of crossing the Equator and going through the initiation) from when the carrier I was on went to Vietnam in 1968. I bought an original art piece and needed it framed professionally and with care. I did not want to risk damage by dropping it off at a chain. I also like “keeping it local” whenever possible.
