Went to the shop at right around 5:30. All of the lights were on and people were walking around the shop, but when I got to the door and pulled it stayed shut. A few people inside looked over at me and made some weird faces towards me. I noticed the closing time was 5:30, but I didn't appreciate being looked at in a strange way when every indicator (lights being on, multiple people inside of the shop) was there that the store was open. It didn't leave a great first impression, hopefully next time is better
Edit 4: It was almost certainly between 5:35 and 5:45, and I'd definitely lean closer to 5:35. Please do not fall for the lies of a bully. If he has footage with timestamps that he actually went back to look at, he is intentionally trying to deceive. Regardless of the actual time, your actions and attitude since this happened have shown your true character, and it is certainly not the character of someone I would want to support with my business.
Edit 3: The owner is continuing to berate and bully me on his Facebook page, I'm going to return to a lower rating to make sure people are aware that the owner of the Batcave is a bully and is not nice or professional.
Edit 2: I just wanted to clear up that I did not want the owner or any employees to open the door for me when I arrived after the listed store hours. My issue is that I felt I was given a strange and rude look by people in the store when I tried opening the door. I then saw the posted hours, and decided to leave. I didn't feel entitled to be let into the shop or anything like that, a store is welcome to set it's hours to whatever they like and it's reasonable to respect those decisions. But with that being said, I don't feel like I was treated with respect when trying to open the door, or by the owner after the fact with his harassment campaign on his Facebook page and his response here.
Edit 1: I'm going to update my review to 5 stars. The owner is very clearly chasing a number, and im not interested in getting harassed here or on the official store facebook page. Batcave must be absolutely amazing and run by the nicest individual if the owner's response and actions are anything to go by. I was simply looking to share my experience, and the owner has just reinforced to me that the lord wanted that door locked when I arrived I wish nothing but the best to Batcave and his customers, but I guess I'll do what the owner asks and avoid the shop entirely. I'm not interested in...

Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe Batcave is every nerds dream come true! The name alone should be a reason why you should go there, that way you could tell everyone that you went to the batcave lol I absolutely loved it. Iām from out of state on business, and this place was recommended to me by Google search cause I was looking for figurines and this place is number one. The owner is ridiculously experienced and knowledgeable in his stuff. He is very friendly, honest, and sweet. Like, I am still in awe over how amazing this place is. It has mainly DC/Batman stuff, but it has also a lot of Marvel, sci-fi, horror, wrestling, and retro cartoons. It has a little bit of everything nerdy, and the prices are not bad. I FaceTimed my best friend from GA, so he could see the store and see what I experienced. Like they have stuff that you wouldnāt think that they would have. I was extremely impressed with the inventory and how rare some of the stuff was. Honestly, this is the highlight of my trip and I canāt wait to shop there online store. Near or far, the Batcave is a place you wanna visit. Itās an...
