Unfortunately, I think I have to be the bad guy here and write my honest review. I saw all the 5-star reviews across Google, and while I don't doubt some people have had a great experience, mine was not. I come into this someone who's pretty knowledgeable about computers. Immediately I had red flags being waved when you see the computers they are selling, which are extremely out of date, I'm talking still selling "gaming PCs" with a 3060. As for diagnostics, you'll pay about $100ish for a regular computer and about $300 for a gaming pc, a stark difference. As for the quality of the work, which matters the most, I feel as if their knowledge on modern computers is a bit out of date by at least half a decade. There are modern components, methods, and builds they have no idea about and will try to tell you it's wrong. There will be A LOT of upselling once you get there as well, so look out for that.. The last gripe I have is the pushiness. You feel as if you're in a sales situation, akin to buying a car or new cell phone with how the two (presumably) owners will double team you, almost trying to make you feel dumb and not as knowledgeable as them. I knew quite a bit about computers and knew what was and whatnot, just bs and buzz words, but for those who do not know, I can see this leading to them being, for lack of a better word, scammed. Mind you, I do not believe the people here at Cooper Systems are BAD, but this does feel like a place that will squeeze extra dollars out of those who don't know computers. I also don't think this is a place for high-level computer people, and rather is the type of shop that those looking for quick screen replacements and the like should go to. Also, you're nudged into writing a review for them at the end of your service, which is why I think they have close to 2,000 reviews. I just would caution people and do their research. Not a HORRIBLE computer repair shop but not for high-level computer nerds...

Couldn't bring myself to use their services because their prices are such a crazy rip off.

Almost 300 to look at it, then said they would probably charge more labor and when asked about their price for parts he couldn't give me any actual prices, just that he warned me about how high their mark ups were from any other reputable retailer and at that point I knew they'd be trying to squeeze 1000+ dollars out of me to re-seat a cpu in a board and I ran over to other just as reputable places in terms of work and paid over 100 less to get it looked at, with a promise of no more charges for work after meaning I won't get nickel and dimed and overcharged even more.

Labor alone was looking like they were gonna try to charge me 500+ before even seeing it in person. All I needed was it checked up, a new board, bios updates, etc. I saved so much going elsewhere I ended up buying multiple other parts also lol.

Like most places I did pay a premium and above retail for the parts I wanted, but not to such a degree where I was bothered.

It's just common sense when someone says close to 300 before any parts and that they would charge me more money after that plus would be gouging me hard on the parts prices then the consumer needs to run away.

I appreciate you being honest about how bad a rip off you guys are though, worst sales pitch ever but helped me save my time and money by not even having to think about bringing the rig in.

If they have any pre-builts might wanna consider other options also, but that's just an opinion. If they rip you off that bad, then they will on rigs...

CAUTION... DISHONEST...I was told by Micheal to bring my Mac laptop for an estimate on replacing my broken screen which consist of replacing the whole top part. When I did he talk me into paying a service fee to find out what type it was which I gave him the model number and the type of macbook pro I have. I ask him well let me have 2 quotes if he's unsure which one is it. Micheal told me $98 charge will credit toward the screen replacement and it would be cheaper than the Apple Store itself. I had already did a quote from the Apple store and another place and with all the reviews they had i was like its ok just try them. I was promise he would call me later that day for the estimate but didn't hear anything from him. I call Micheal the next day and he gave me a over price estimate. He estimate it to be close to $1100, a $400 more than the Apple store cost. I was stung and shock and felt I have fallen into a very dishonest place. I immediately ask to pick up my laptop and told him i couldn't understand why he couldn't give me two quote unlike the other places gave me, an estimate upon model number given. And like he mention it suppose to be cheaper than the Apple Store itself and it wasn't. I told him that it's my $98 lost that i could have use it towards replacing a screen at somewhere else and for believing him and left. If anyone out there have any physical broken problem on their Mac laptop I suggest going straight to the Apple Store itself. So disappointed! I believe a business will do very well if they have honesty...
