Elvin Taylor - State Farm Insurance Agent — Local services in Memphis

I switch to them based on a price given, 2 weeks later got an email that it would go up if I didnt add Home Insurance, which was never mentioned during the call. Fine it was only $30 increase, then 2 months later it went up again. I called in and they said they had to remove the discount for bundled insurance since I only had Auto. I was frustrated but I hate shopping for insurance so I rode it out another 8months, during which time they called every month, sometimes twice a month to sell me more insurance. I finally got fed up and went to cancel, you have to call and talk to an agent to do so. I did, I talked to an Account Access Manger trying to cancel for 10min, until I was informed the Account Access Manager cannot cancel policies, they were going to transfer me, I was at work and hung up. I got 3 more calls that afternoon before 5pm. The left a VM stating that they could answer questions about my policy and wanted to provide more quotes, I just wanted to cancel. Called back this morning Acnt Acccess Manager sent me to an agent, which tried to give me more quotes, I stopped them and said I am not interested please just cancel me, which they did. Now 4 hours later I get 2 calls the first from Account Services (1-800-), which I didnt answer, then immediately after got another call showing as State Farm. I answered and this is what they said "Hi I see you requested a quote a while back are you still interested?" I asked if they were kidding, long pause, 'No'. The person calling from Elvin Taylor State Farm, was following up on a quote from last December to see if I was interested in using them as a provider after 2 days of trying to cancel. Maybe some people enjoy sales calls from a company they already paying money to, I do not. Also, you must call in to cancel in 2025? So after so many phone calls trying to get a quote . I was tried of trying he phone tag method of finding some type of help with the perfect insurance for my family . I chose to drive & personally introduce my self to the firm for a better perspective & bond for my needs a potential new partner . I walked in & immediately was greeted so graciously by a young lady by “ Jimilya “ (spell check) who expeditiously asked if I had an appointment with a one of her associates . Kindly walked me to a seating . Grabbed me a water & Covid mask ; & started the process of application, giving me a little background of her self , a little knowledge of the firm & was a great elaborate representation of “State Farms” establishment. I would recommend her any where I go . I even wanted to take her home & show my wife how nice of young lady she is , but then she would have to take me home because I would no longer have one or a wife . But she was just that nice , that I thought about asking . Twice . Further more , with the help of understanding the terms , in its entirety . She didn’t rush me , she made sure I understood each policy & even gave me a few tips on how to decide what was best for me & my family . Elvin Taylor, hands down, has the best State Farm agency in Memphis! I have been with the agency since day one and have never encountered any issues. He is truly a professional and worked extremely hard to get my concerns and issues resolved. Elvin was knowledgeable and patient the entire time we interacted. He was personable and honest with me. He didn't mind answering questions and breaking things down so that I could better understand. Long story short: I called the office to express concerns I had about my auto insurance policy. Right away, Kenneth was prompt and pleasant over the phone and he demonstrated the true definition of what customer service is! He scheduled a meeting for me to come into the office and speak with Elvin directly about my concerns. From the time I came into the office to the time I left, I can say that my experience was AMAZING! He did not let me leave the office without "taking care of business!"
