I have to update you all on my recent experiences with Los Cabo’s. This used to be our favorite Mexican Restaurant, and we wouldn’t dare eat anywhere else, but there must be something in the air because the restaurant that I stood up for when people told me not to go because they saw things that I won’t comment here due to not trying to shame them too much publicly.
The pictures below look great, right? Well the fish was raw; it wasn’t cooked fully, and the margarita that I had that day wasn’t good. The male waiter and manager argued with me because his feelings were hurt that I didn’t like the margarita he mixed. I thought all was well because normally, they fix the issue and we keep it pushing, but he took it personally.
I continued eating here weekly paying over $40 each visit. I thought I was a valued customer even though each time, something would be wrong with my order, they would fix it. The last time I went, my fish was fried instead of grilled like I asked, I had French fries in my rice, and no queso w/my order, and I ordered extra. The manager got upset with me end told me that he was going to refuse to serve me because they are always messing up my food. I didn’t understand because I chose to patronize them weekly, referring people, etc. It is not the customer’s fault for mishaps in the kitchen. He began to insult me and reminded me of the time I didn’t like the margarita he fixed. (He obviously took it personally) because I still visited on a regular. He made a big scene in front of customers and even stated that I’m always trying to get a discount. Money is no issue for me, end the free entrees I got was due to a loyalty rewards system that they have. That’s how often I visit and buy food. I would always buy up to 10 meals w/in at least three weeks time, but as a man and manager speaking to a woman of color, in front of white patrons as if I was less important was the last straw for me. If I’m paying for something and I get something else, why wouldn’t I tell the waiter or waitress to give them an opportunity to fix it? And even give them another opportunity. I stopped going here, but my husband tried to give them another chance. Both managers who we used to laugh, talk business and soccer with turned out to be fake, unprofessional, and very rude and disrespectful. They switched up on him as well. No customer service and still getting simple orders wrong.
I won’t return. Solutions: Hold yourselves accountable not your customers. Never switch up. Relationships mean a lot in business and in life. Don’t take things personal, and don’t assume people are always trying to get things for free. As a restaurant owner myself, I would never want to be this way with my customers. This was definitely a...
Read moreMy second time visiting this location and I only have one disappointment which is a shameful one. I'll start by saying I love how the restaurant tries to accommodate and adhere to the preferences of the more modern day urban crowd. There was a live band that I truly enjoyed. The musicians were extremely talented. Shout out to the pianist because that guy was playing the hell out of that piano. The servers are very friendly and they seem to treat each guest equally. I don't really expect authentic Mexican food and salsa so I won't rant about the quality of the food. However, I ordered a margarita on the rocks as I did on previous visits. I am a bartender so I don't expect an explosion from a house margarita. Therefore, being a person who is willing to pay for what I want, I ordered a shot of gran Marnier to add to my margarita. As always, I poured half in my margarita and the other half I usually sip on as a chaser, to only realize that it was whiskey in fact, and NOT GRAN MARNIER. The server poured it from a Gran Marnier bottle so it was obvious that the owners poured some bottom shelf cheap whiskey in the bottle to try and sell it and charge guests the price of a premium liquor. This is shameful and not acceptable under any circumstances. I brought it to the server's attention and she offered me something else. I just kindly asked if she would just pour me a new margarita. Shame on you Los Cabos. I hope this review helps someone else and make others more aware when drinking there. Stick to your normal cocktail that your are familiar with and know the taste. They...
Read moreMy recent dining experience at the restaurant was extremely disappointing. The level of customer service provided by our waitress was subpar, lacking essential skills and a professional attitude. There was a noticeable absence of patience when addressing our inquiries. Moreover, the restaurant staff demonstrated a lack of communication and consistency; conflicting information was provided by different employees. I ordered the fajita quesadilla, which I thought was supposed to include bell peppers and onions. However, I was informed otherwise when I questioned the absence of these ingredients. To my surprise, upon contacting the restaurant, I was assured that the dish indeed includes bell peppers and onions, and I was promised a refund for the mistake.
However, upon my return to the restaurant to resolve the issue and express my dissatisfaction, I was not compensated as promised. This inconsistency and lack of integrity in the service provided left me thoroughly unsatisfied. I have never encountered a fajita quesadilla without any vegetables; this experience was both confusing and disappointing. In the interest of improving customer satisfaction, I urge the management to address these issues promptly. A commitment to clear communication, consistency in service, and honoring promises made to customers is fundamental to a positive dining experience. I hope my feedback can contribute to enhancing the overall quality of service at your...
