So I learned learned about this place and gave it a try and I was hooked immediately on their chicken tacos I’m not a fan of th FH sauce but I ate there at least twice a week for a about 2 months before having an issue. Two Fridays ago I did my usual and ordered dinner from them spending roughly $35. I’ve learned to give them a little extra time than they quote for a call in so I gave them about 15 extra minutes. I arrived and the place was packed and the line was long as usual. For some reason the floor was super sticky which was very annoying. I received my order and usually they show you the food before leaving but I declined because until that point i trusted my order was correct. I realized before leaving the counter I was short a box so I thought so that prompted me to check my food. My order was incorrect although the reciept was correct. Told the young lady who I had seen almost on every visit there and she took it to the back to be corrected. After a few minutes I saw her again and asked how long would it be. She replied let me see. She came back and said 10 minutes, I said okay are they going to remake my shrimp not considering I also had wings and fries and my fries would also be cold. But only thinking of my fried shrimp, she said No they not gone do that, I said so I have to wait 10 extra minutes and leave with cold food, she repeated the same response again which was ,they not gone remake nothing else. At that point I refuse to leave with cold food especially when the cooks made a mistake by not fixing the order right in the first place which would have been fine if her response had have been different but it wasn’t so I wanted a refund. The young lady at the register told me that was fine and she called a tall light skinned male to the register and explained the situation. While waiting I hear the same male tell another employee who was also sitting alone side him at the bar, “yeah that girl over there” I looked at him and stared like you Dam right I want a refund. I got my refund and left and haven’t returned. Customer service, customer service,customer service!!!!!!!. I have bragged on this place and now regret it. They are willing to lose customers because of a cooks mistake and expecting me to leave with cold food. Read more‼️‼️ Lengthy Review‼️‼️ On 6-13-25 My brother, my friend, and I went to this location fava house. Now my brother has had fava house many times but for my friend and I, it would be our first time. Now my brother placed a to-go order over the phone like 10 minutes before we arrived so that it could be ready or close to being ready when we arrived. My brother placed his order and then received a call back from Ms. Tonya to let him know that they didn't have any jerk seasoning for his wings because he ordered jerk wings, ok that's fine not the end of the world. My friend arrived 10 minutes later and then me and her went in. Now when we entered there was a light-skinned guy in there smoking or vaping and drinking at the bar as way as the young dark-skinned lady that worked and it was clear that the light-skinned dude did not work there at all while drinking the light skin dude loudly told one of the chefs the dark-skinned man with deads that he needs to take a shot and if not he gonna bring it to him. MIND YOU there are customers in the restaurant and Ms.Tonya is a very sweet lady but she was watching this behavior happen and not regulating anything when she should have told them that drinking and smoking inside a restaurant with customers in here is behavior that will not be tolerated. At this time my brother still hasn't received his food and it's going on an hour and a half. So at that point, he asked for a refund because somehow somehow his ticket was printed at the front for him to pay but didn't print in the kitchen to be made. The floor was EXTREMELY sticky throughout the ENTIRE restaurant as well as in the bathrooms. I don't know who the owner is but they need to come back and do a major boot camp with their employees on what behavior should and shouldn't be happening in a place of business especially one that serves food because what my brother, my friend, and I, three different sets of eyes and points of views witness last night was behavior for a Trap House, not a place of business. As I said Ms.Tonya is a sweet and cool lady but wasn't regulating their behavior like she should have, employees treated the restaurant like a hangout spot and not like a place of business, the sticky floor and food was good however this experience was terrible. Read moreI am VERY sure the 5 star reviews are from friends and family and people who do NOT have to deal with the individual(s) working here. The lady who is usually behind the counter is going to run the business on Kirby into the ground. EVERY time I go in here to pick up an order the wait is extremely long and she is just walking around looking clueless when she should be helping the many customers standing around waiting for service. Tonight I walked in to pick up an order and waited in the lobby 10+ minutes calling out hello and also calling their business phone (that’s a cellphone). No response from anyone in the back so I go to the door and ask the lady with the red curly weave sitting outside of the business on her cellphone is there anyone working the counter she rudely said, “here I come”. She walks in and asks for my order info I give it to her and she goes in the back for a while then comes up front with food. Sets it down goes back to the back then finally told me the order was ready. She did not put the food in the bag and hand it to me.....no she AGAIN began to aimlessly walk around doing nothing (meanwhile the line is building up) and she yells, “if you’re placing an order we close in 30 minutes so we’re not taking anymore orders”. After she lolligags some more I call her out on it and she tells me I am being rude and “she can do whatever she wants”. I told her she certainly can and I can choose not to patronize the business.
