This mall doesn't seem as fun, there isn't much happening like there was before COVID. Many places didn't make it and are gone. There is construction work going on, but customers can still get in the main entrances. I ate at Wetzels Pretzels. The young lady who took my order was friendly and polite. The pretzel bits and cheese sauce were good. I didn't have a lot of time, because I had an appointment that afternoon. I decided to go to a couple of stores and check out blue tooth speakers that would work with a cell phone. The employees at both stores barely spoke English and I had a hard time understanding them. I don't believe either of them knew much about the speakers. The first store I went to was empty when I walked in. I started looking at speakers and a man came out from the back. I told him I noticed the speakers came in a large range of prices and asked him if he could tell me the difference between the different speakers. All he could say is, "Dis big. Dis not too big. Dis small." "Dis small, you carry." "Dis $20. Dis $40. Dis $75. Dis more price." I asked about the loudness and if they were good outdoors and his reply was, "How much money you spend?" I told him I didn't know because I needed more information about the differences between them, so he walked away and didn't talk to me anymore. I left. The next store I went in there was one man working when I walked in. He was polite and asked if there was anything he could help me with. I told him I was interested in a blue tooth speaker that could be used to listen to videos, music and podcasts on a phone. He directed me to them, but when I asked what the differences were he said, "Dis sound loud, sound outside concert. Dis sound loud but not so big loud. Dis no loud, good, good, but no loud far away. I asked him questions like I did the man at the other store and all he could say was cheaper ones won't go as loud. And small ones are easier to carry. I didn't learn anything about speakers. I didn't buy any speakers. I don't plan on buying anything from either of...
Read moreI always get my tires on my car at Sears and I have been talking to others who also buy tires at Sears and the ratings are going down. I have been treated like a queen at the Modesto CA Sears and not that I live in the Merced area in Winton , I went to the store in Merced Mall ,and I was looking for new tires at least a good deal on the tires, but I wasn't sure if I should be so out spoke n my car is a good car and I am totally disabled so I have to have my car.But this time I wasn't treated like a queen at Sears and I wasn't happy with my tires and my tires on the car in front keep going flat and the manager and I wasn't sure if they were going to fix them, finally after two months of my tires going flat I went to the store and said fix. My tires please I've never had a problem I always put road Hazzard replacement on my tires but this time the store didn't do that.So I going to get my tires fixed but the manager and I talked about it and he said he would call the store manager and he was going to try to get the fixed .So I'm not sure if I will get my tires there again.Sears need to do the work better so people will be more thankful that I am a good customer and they might get more costumers like that.So they fixed the tires and rims and I don't know if I will go back to get my tires there again. But overall it wasn't a big deal they did make things...
Read moreNot a whole lot in this mall. Many closed stores and restaurants. Really sad when CVS moved out. Hardly go to the Mall anymore. Still feel the same. It's been three years they announced they were adding stores, theater and eating places. Less stores and less eating places now since that announcement. Update: No it hasn't changed. Half the mall is still empty. Only thing I go out there for is JCPenney and Kohl's which are still there and open. However if you are going to both stores, you can't walk to get from one store to the other by walking through the mall. Oh, See's Candy store still in the mall. It kinda gets forgotten. I love See's Candy for gifts so I still visit that store at least once a month. I urge you to visit these places. Don't forget them. 3/12/2024 - same report. Nothing out there. Again, don't forget Kohl's, JCPenney, Bath & Body Works and See's candy. Try to help keep these stores in business here in Merced by...
