See's Candies — Local services in Merced

We went in to buy Easter candy for our adult kids because we love See's as a family, but usually shop in Modesto or Turlock. We were in town so thought we'd stop in. The older lady with black framed glasses must have thought we were just browsing because she ignored us even though she offered everyone else a free sample aside from us and would not acknowledge us at all. Finally we just stood there and just as I signaled at my husband that we should leave she offered us free samples and then threw them on the counter. Idk what about us inspired this. We were talking quietly with each other and weren't being rude or anything. We'll just stop in at Turlock or Modesto for our one pound boxes. They're always super nice. Customer service matters, and even if she thought we looked like we couldn't afford it or something, she should have treated us with the same kindness as everyone else. I love the See's Candy shop in the Merced Mall. They are always so friendly, and they don't rush you when you're picking up the chocolates you want. I came in yesterday, to get a pound of chocolate candy, I asked for the remaining of my candy to be rum nougat. I get home and realize that it’s not rum nougat at all. For $35 dollars, I only had a few that I actually ordered, but I didn’t have 1 rum nougat. I will never buy anything from this Merced store again. Pay more attention to...
