Mud Bay — Local services in Mercer Island

I was surprised to see how limited their selection is. The store is mostly catering to the recent apartment complex that has popped up the last ten years or so. Which means small dogs like totally catering to cats and lap dogs or mini purse dogs that are so not fetch and never where. Any dog that someone can pick up and drop kick like a football are what they cater to. Staff is super friendly and knowledgeable, but that depends on what day or who is working that day as the first trip was awesome and the second time stopping by was such a waste of time but the guy was nice so I bought some dog frozen yogurt fancy thing just to feel like I didn't just waste 30min. Very limited with options. Please, everyone, do yourself a solid and start supporting Pet Smart and petco even if they are a little ghetto these days. They have so many options in...

Yesterday my fiancé walked into the store at 8pm and the staff working there literally kicked him out saying they were closed. There were several people in line and in the store. He told the staff the dog food I need is right there and it would take no time to get it. They refused and said they would not ring it up at the register and to leave. We have shopped at this Mud Bay countless times and also other locations too. With the disrespectful way he was treated, we will never shop here or any Mud Bay again. There is a kinder and respectful way to treat people and customers, the staff working at this location in Mercer Island yesterday, 3/17/20, were absolutely horrible!! For anyone managing the staff here, I also work in customer service and would never treat others...

Fantastic service really helpful with question re rescue cat, best food, litter and so on. The cat food is healthy and I am surprised at the prices which are very reasonable, makes it easy to support a local business. The also have great cleaning products I can't believe how easy it was to totally remove cat wee smell.

• Have to change rating. Love everything about the place but they will not take $50 or $100 bills. It's is not a change issue because I had $88 transaction so the change would of been $16. They will accept 5 $20 bills but not one $100. Cash is a legal tender that should be accepted anywhere. I will not shop...
