Philips' Flower and Gift Shop — Local services in Mercersburg

As a lifelong resident of Mercersburg, I have used Philips’ Flower Shop for decades. I placed an internet order on 9/2/24 to have an arrangement delivered to my mother on Friday, 9/6, in remembrance of my parents’ 66th wedding anniversary. My father passed away in 2022 and I hoped it would brighten and otherwise somber day for my mom. Unfortunately, someone wasn’t paying attention and had the arrangement delivered on 9/3/24, and wasn’t very apologetic when I called to complain. In fact, she kind of giggled at the mistake. What if this had been a birthday order, or a funeral order, or an order for another occasion, and the delivery instructions were ignored? The bright spot was that the arrangement was beautiful, and the ceramic container will continue to be used. Wonderful shop that saved valentine's day for me. I had ordered flowers back in january from an online florist and payed extra for valentine's day delivery. Received an email 2 days before valentines saying that the flowers wouldn't be able to be delivered until the 25th of February because the florist that was picked was closed on valentine's day which seems suspicious. I was unable to attend a service for a friend's mother who passed because I live so far away. The funeral home suggested calling these people. I got a call from her husband saying the flowers were absolutely gorgeous. When I spoke with the owner he was extremely kind, and helpful.
