Okay.. where to start. I took my wife out to dinner on a Friday night to Stoners..... Arrived at 8pm figured we'd get a beer and some food. They were busy but not packed. The first thing the stewardess says is "the kitchen is running long ticket times so it may be a while till you get your food". Uh... okay. So we were seated and then the waitress came over. No smile, no personality, couldn't care less we were there. I asked what they had on tap.. 🙄 "we have 18 beers on tap........" Rather than try to make her think, we ordered some lagers. No time for an appetizer order as she was gone. Beers arrived and were cold.. we had her for 30 seconds so we ordered. She didn't write anything down.. probably should have as she missed some of the order. Cheese curds.. don't bother. Sheetz cheese curds have more flavor and are HOT. These were cheese curd ice cubes with some sauce on top. And over priced for the tiny portion. Dinner finally arrived about 25 minutes later and again.. cold. The wife's bacon chicken sandwich had good flavor, but cold. Onion rings, cold and blah. My Ruben was good and was the only thing hot. The fries though.. cold. We said something to the waitress about the cheese curds and she said she hadn't tried them. That wasn't the point of the conversation. Needless to say, we won't be back. Prices were high, portions were small, food was cold, staff was barely friendly. (The hostess was the only really friendly one) The owners are welcome to contact me if they'd like like, but they're lucky to get 2 stars. Oh.. and to top it all off.. this morning when my wife and I got up.. we both had stomach cramps which leads to the trip to the bathroom. Not sure if the food was undercooked, mishandled, or outdated... but it was the only thing we both ate the same...
Read moreI wish I could give more than 3 stars!
Name = 5 stars. (why we ate here) FOOD = 5 STARS LOCATION, ATMOSPHERE, MENU = 5 STARS SERVICE = 1 STAR...BUT I blame ownership
We arrived after a long swim meet with 6 people for lunch. We were told 30 min wait (she hoped we would leave)...ok no problem can we have a seat while we wait..."we cant seat 6 together" Ok how about three kids at that empty table and 3 adults at the empty bar??? "well our kitchen is backed up"...we understand, we are not in a rush and have 2 hours to kill, can we just enjoy your AC and have some drinks while we wait 30 mins for the kitchen to slow down??? Horrible attitude after that...when we did get beers it had more head than my wife gave me in 15 years...but thats ok.
Food was amazing, server got outta the weeds and became nicer. We warned the not so nice staff it would be the same tomorrow due to a swim meet. She told us yeah we know "the owner fired someone, left us short staffed and took off on vacation".
Dear Owner,
Do better! Customers shouldnt have to deal with a miserable 20 nothing year old green server/manager who cant handle pressure and doesnt want to serve us because you set them up for failure. Loved your food, but custoners deserve better for a $199 lunch bill and tipping 30% to the rude miserable servers you let down.
Hope your vacation was more enjoyable than lunch at...
Read moreFirst, the waitress did what she could, so the two stars are for her. She apologized to us and 2 other tables several times. She didn’t seem, or want to tell us why it took hour and a half. The $26 crab cake was almost black and very small, may have been size of small ice cream scoop. The $11 french onion soup was shameful. Cheese was good, color was there, but no flavor to broth. The burger was supposed to be medium. Medium should have a little pink- this was charred on outside and completely cooked inside. Waitress apologized, but we didn’t have the time or stamina to send back. The side salad was great and sweet potato fries were good. The main issue, which I believe is why the food was not good, is we allowed ourselves 1.5 hr to eat, before we went to the play across the Street. We weren't the only ones that kept asking the waitress to see why it was taking so long. She was a sweet girl, but mgmt dropped the ball here. We asked for a take out container to put our food in, because we had 5 minutes to get to play. Seriously doubt if we go back there again. Shame, because I think it could be good, but we spent 100$ to sit for 1 hour and 25 minutes, then have 5 minutes to eat and get to play. Not a go to place for me. Staffing issues does not exempt a facility from poor service and low...
