I recently visited Hannaford and came away impressed overall. The store is clean, bright, and well laid‑out, making it easy to find what I needed without wandering endlessly. The produce section was fresh and vibrant — the strawberries I bought were sweet and juicy, and the greens looked crisp and well cared for.
The selection is strong: they carry good national brands, a decent line of local products, and some specialty items. I appreciated seeing some local dairy and baked goods mixed in alongside familiar staples.
Staff were friendly and helpful. When I asked for help finding an item, the associate went out of her way to point me in the right direction and even offered an alternative when they were out of stock.
Checkout was fairly quick, though the lines got a little long during peak hours. I also noticed that some shelf labels were missing or slightly off, and one or two “sale” items didn't seem to match what was rung up. Nothing deal‑breaking, but a little attention to detail would elevate the experience.
Overall, Hannaford is a solid grocery option — clean, pleasant, and dependable with a few minor hiccups. Worth shopping there and...
Read moreI shop at Hannafords Meredith store three times per week on average. Never a complaint. Usually. After leaving the store today, my phone prompted me to offer a review. Poor timing. Pressed for time and not needing much, I grabbed four items and made way for the quick checkout line. It was lengthy. Not much to be done about it. It took 10 minutes to get close to the register. Then it went south. The lady in front of me, in the 14 items or less line, had a minimum of 60 products for purchase. Several different methods of payment...and not a care in the world. The young lady working register 6 acted as if this was perfectly fine. It wasn't, and I was not alone in feeling this way. Your store offers these express lanes as a convenience to customers. It took 25 minutes to complete the purchase. Waiting in the express line. Not convenient at all as it turns out. Nobody likes a whiner, but this was absurd. 2:30 Wednesday afternoon. Register number 6. 14 items or less. Run it back and have a look. It'll be some time before we shop Hannafords again. You've got to do...
Read moreI had such a horrible experience with this hannaford. While my husband was in the store and I was waiting him in my car, one of the Hannaford's employee (who's car was parked next to my) scratch my car's for with his key... He didn't noticed me seating on the back seat of my car. I came out of my car and asked him for explanation. His excuses were "you park too close" and "sorry, I'm just having a bad day". Wow! It's happened 5 days ago, but I still shaking. I can't stop thinking about it. This man had a badge "hero" on his uniform. Is that what heroes do? Vandalize other people cars? What kind of environment in this working place if workers are so frustrated after their working day? I went to talk to the store manager. I explained him the whole situation, he took notes and my contact information, promised to "make envestigation" and call me back. But he didn't. They just don't care! People are frustrated and aggressive this days. They selfishly think they are the only ones who having a bad days in this difficult...
