Update: As I said, and clearly everyone can see, the owner is just as rude as his staff. I am not a disgruntled person but I do want others to know about something that happened. That's what reviews are for.
So people go if you like good food and like having rude people around you. I know how this is going to go from the start... I will write my review and someone from Surfside will leave a nasty remark back like they do on a lot of the reviews that are negative towards them.
We went a week or two ago with our family and had a wonderful experience. Our food was really good. My daughter got the pulled pork sandwich and probably one of the best pulled pork around. We enjoyed ourselves sitting in the igloos, talking and relaxing. It was so good that I talked my friends into going to have brunch there to have a good time. This time we got there early when they opened and no one was there for customers yet. We were excited to sit in the igloo and have fun. Instead of being greeted by a hello or welcome, it was " sit anywhere you want to " to which I replied, " we would like to sit in an igloo ". Without missing a beat, " there's a $10 charge to sit in the igloos". I said since when we were just here with my family and didn't have to pay that. I guess this is very new. The lady on was very rude about it in the way she talked to us. They want to charge to sit in them because they want to get their money back on the furniture they purchased for the patio. While I am understanding of the reasons the way we were spoken to was not what it should have been. We went outside to talk it over as a group to see what everyone wanted to do and instead of just waiting to see what we decided, she told us to have a good day,( nasty tone ) like we were leaving. So we did. While $10 isn't a lot to pay for fun, it was the attitude and carelessness we got while we were there. Like I told the person responding to my chat request for information, because of this we will take our business elsewhere. We will not...
Read moreSurfside Burger Bar in Meredith, NH for a couple pints & a big ass burger on a beautiful Monday afternoon. My third time here, but it had been around three years since my last visit so I was definitely excited to check it out again. Being a big burger guy, any spot with "burger" in the name obviously gets me excited to check them out & these guys have a awesome selection of options to choose from. The last time I was here a few years ago I remember grabbing a couple good craft beers including the HAZY RAYS IPA from Lawson's Finest Liquids & LUNCH IPA from Maine Beer Company. They had a handful of fun options to choose from this time around as well. 🍻🍻🔥🍔
I started off with a couple pints of the excellent DUDERINO Lager from Stoneface Brewing Co. which was the perfect light beer for sitting outside in the sun. For my final pint I scooped the TIE DYED Pale Ale from Great North Aleworks, a New Hampshire classic pale ale I've been enjoying randomly when I get the chance for years now. 🍻🍻🍺🍺
The burger menu here is deep with plenty to choose from including some delicious options like "Beastie", a burger in between two grilled cheese sandwiches. I of course went as big as I could & decided to try the largest burger on the menu the "ELOVATER". It was a burger patty, a fried buffalo chicken breast, two layers of bacon, blue cheese, jalapenos & ranch drizzle. I'm sweating just reliving the experience of eating this thing, but it was delicious & well worth the pain afterwards. Such a cool spot that's well worth checking out if you want to try some fun burger options in New England & New Hampshire. 🍔🍔🍻🔥💪🍺
BURGERGASM RATING - 85/100 🍻🍻🍻🍔🍔🍔🍆🍆🍆💦💦💦🔥🔥🔥☘☘☘🏆✌♥️🍺

Read moreI stopped in to grab a quick bite before a movie. Prices were reasonable and the place looked clean, though it's a bit worn feeling inside. They have indoor and outdoor seating; you order at a counter then sit where you choose. The staff were friendly and helpful. I got a burger and a frappe/shake. I know both were made while I waited. The strawberry shake came out first - chock full of strawberries and really delicious! The burger was a generous size and arrived on a slightly sweet, buttery, freshly grilled roll. I usually toss the bottom bun because - meh - but not this one. The burger was seasoned so we'll that I would've enjoyed it without toppings, but the crunchy fresh pickles stood out on their own. It was so good that I asked for some foil to save the other half for later. Basically, It was very good food from nice people. My only issues may not matter to everyone, but I've found myself reviewing places to include the fact that I am a disabled person with a service dog. So, the experience offered some issues. The staff were very nice about my SD. One server offered her water. All of the outdoor seating are picnic tables. Only two of the indoor tables were standard height; the rest are high-tops; the counter at which orders are placed is pretty high, too. All of the seating are metal, backless bar stools, which I find difficult and uncomfortable. Also, a person in a wheelchair will probably have difficulty navigating the patio and getting through the door. Bottom line: it's great food, but a bit...
