My family and I went there two evenings ago. I debated about writing this review. Our waitress Naomi was awesome, personable, and attentive (I noticed multiple times that she looked to see if we were okay even without stopping to ask—she gets an 8/5.). They didn’t handle our large group well, even though we had called before we went to find out if 12 and a baby would be a problem (7 adults and 5 kids and a baby.) The person who answered the phone was kinder than the woman who freaked out about the large group and was nasty to my (adult) daughters (I was parking a car). We ended up with two tables at different parts of the room. Five at one and the rest at another. (At least we could see each other.) The place was NOT clean as other reviews stated. We pulled out the two tables to allow me to sit at the end near the window. I had to use my water to clean the sticky spot at the end. At least when I asked for more napkins, I got them so I could wipe it. My 3-year-old grandson couldn’t handle the very long wait for the food so we were going to sit on the ledge inside the window to look out. It was filthy. The carpet was stained and dirty. The French fries must have been cooked before the rest of the food because they were cooler than the rest of the food. The Reuben sandwich had less sauerkraut on the ENTIRE sandwich than I normally see on ONE BITE. (Same with my husband’s Reuben.) My youngest daughter chose the Pick two—one pick was correct, the other was not. (Naomi did get that fixed.) Ironically, before we got the food and after we got our drinks, I commented to my husband that they might need a makeover from “Bar Rescue”. After I really got a good look at it during the long food wait, I think I was right. The adults in my group agreed that it wasn’t family friendly. No crayons and drawing paper for young children to make the wait seem shorter. And definitely don’t go with a...
Read moreThe first 2 times I went there it was pretty good. Very simple food and limited menu. Conveniently located across from the boardwalk. This last time I went was horrible. Our server forgot to put in our order of nachos and we had to flag him down after waiting over 30 minutes to inquire about it. The other server came over, not knowing the situation but trying to be helpful, to assure us our food would be out soon. When the nachos were ready ours came flying by and did a drop and run back to the bar. No, they weren't very busy. When our burgers were ready, not 10 minutes after getting our nachos, they were delivered by the other server. She had to go back and get the bbq sauce for our bbq burgers..... The kitchen forgot. When it came time for the check our server dropped it off and went back to the bar. The other server picked up our money, cleaned our area, and apologized to us. She even showed us where it said on the receipt that our nachos weren't submitted. We were thankful for her because she tried to fix what was obviously bad service from her coworker. If the gentleman named Finno is working, ask for another server. To top it all off, that night my boyfriend and I were plagued with...
Read moreAvoid this place for any type of food. If I could give this place a zero star I would! My friend and I tried this place because we weren't from the area. My friend ordered buffalo tenders, easy right? They came out shriveled up and with one touch would break, completely burnt on the outside and not cooked inside. The waitress told us the chicken would come out the exact same if we brought it back to the kitchen to be fixed. I ordered a steak tip Caesar salad, which I had to eat with a spoon....because it wasn't even a salad I could eat with my fork. Plus the steak was borderline raw, completely pink and I had asked for the steak to be cooked medium. We complained to the owner Jess, she told us she could not help us and demanded we pay for our food that we both took two bites of. She was extremely unprofessional and aggressive. This place should be shut down and people should be fired. Also the board of health should be involved....
