KAY Jewelers — Local services in Meriden

So we go in to shop around for engagement rings. We spot this ring we like and the sale associate told us it not available in our size. We continue to go around and see nothing we like. Some how we circled around to the same ring. The sale associate checks our ring size and then confirms it doesn't come in our size. We end up making our own rings and 3 weeks later they show up and don't look quite like what we thought it would thiught they would. Turns out the return only qualified for store credit. So we look at alternstive options and point out the SAME ring from before as a reference. Turns out the ring comes in our size. We pay for it and they tell me it will take a week to get our sizes from another 2 kay stores. A week passes and I call to check. They told me they would call me back later to confirm I think because they recieve mail later. I end up calling back 4 hours AFTER they said when they would call me. I get put on hold for 20 mins then hung up on. I call again they then tell me they would call me later cause they were busy. So I wait one more time and they call me but tell me the places never shipped our rings and it would take...

Terrible customer service with the employee Sam horrible she makes the store look bad owner should replace her loosing customers if she still works there. Called over the phone and it’s like she doesn’t work with you asked her what I needed before coming in when I got there she told me I needed the ring in store when I specifically asked her what I needed to get before coming ,only told me receipts got there coming from a different town and told me I NEEDED THE RING IN STORE wasted my time and Gass ain’t cheap now a days now I have to wait till NOVEMBER who knows what day cause she doesn’t know when my ring will get there exactly. I asked this Sam person how about me changing the ring to gold she said will assist me when the darn ring is in. SHE DID NOT WANT TO WORK with me , highly recommend asking for a different person.

UPDATE: highly recommend working with luis! He’s the best worker there , definitely cares for his customers and he can definitely convince me on getting anything in there love how he works! He explains everything and such a sweet person. And my situation is being fixed 😊...

My fiance loves their selection and we've purchased countless pieces over the years, including her engagement ring. We stopped in yesterday and once again we're treated like royalty. Our jeweler, Ivanny, was very patient and helpful as my fiance tried on several pieces. As we prepared to check out, she reminded us that some of our past purchases were due for inspection, and offered to clean ALL the jewelry my fiance was wearing, even the pieces we didn't purchase from Kay. Ivanny even took the time to repair a bent ring for us! My fiance was blown away and it really made her day. We made a donation to St. Jude and bought a couple small gifts at checkout too! $49.99 each for a bracelet for Mom and a necklace for her sister was a steal. Everyone was really sweet and helpful and the entire experience was great. We've been customers for years, and now we're clients for life!
