Tdlr; trans-friendly service although the sizes off the rack do not go below W30 or chest 35. I entered like, an hour before closing and was walking around looking very obviously clueless because I have never bought a suit before. A very helpful floor person came up to me and asked me what I was looking for, I told him I need something for short kings and he suggested a custom suit. He did not miss a beat when I told him that I am trans and I still have my t*ts so I wasn’t sure about the tailoring involved. He said they have a no touch policy with their tailor so I would not have to worry about any awkwardness, and even offered that I could schedule an appointment when an AFAB staff member was present. The custom suit ended up not working out because I needed the suit very soon, but the floor person spent a ton of time trying to find a suit that would fit, and his coworkers also helped a lot. Unfortunately, we couldn’t find anything because my dimensions are quite small - I had to shop in the petit section before transitioning. If you are a W30 or above and a chest size 35 or above I highly recommend for trans friendly service! I don’t remember the guys name who helped me, but he was a tall white guy with reddish hair. Super sweet guy and so was...
Read moreI would not recommend anyone to this store. I am renting a tux from them for my brothers wedding. The groom told me it should cost $165 and some change out the door. I paid $175 and some change. They are unable to tell me why the groom was told $165. I tried it on and many adjustments needed to be made. The women actually told me they really are only concerned with how the jacket fits because that's what actually matters. I got a fitted shirt that with the collar extender but will still be choked the whole ceremony and the sleeves could fit basketballs in them. But, that's the best they can do because they have a one size fits all tuxedo line. I can go down the road to the mom and pop shop and get one for $90 that fits perfectly the first time. When I pointed this out to the manager, he just said there's nothing he can do about the fit. If you like paying $200 to look like a soup sandwich for a day, then this is the place to shop! Not to mention the guy that was too interested in watching TV then helping my sister in law. He was just flat out rude to her. The manager didn't seem to care at all when I told him about the terrible reviews of his store. I wouldn't buy a pair of socks...
Read moreFor Tux Rentals--Save yourself the time, and go to Baryames Tux around the corner from this location first!!!. When I went to MW, I was constantly told 'No' when getting our wedding Tux Rentals in order. NO, we don't have more than these 5 styles of ties on hand, NO we don't have pants for the groom to try on (so I can see the whole outfit together), NO we don't have shirts for him to try on. ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!?
They have an entire wall of shirts, and an entire wall of pants. I finally had to point out this fact, and ask if we could try them on for the sake of seeing the outfit together. I was so frustrated that we basically walked out. Horrible service. When I called and cancelled my order, I didn't feel like they really cared about my concerns.
When I went to Baryames, it was a complete 180. When I told them about my experience here, she stopped me before I went into the story, and told me that they hear this all the time, and even had employees from MW come to their store to order their tux's... I think that speaks volumes about...
