Crooked Letter — Local services in Meridian

As soon as we saw the name, we knew we had to go into Crooked Letter. It's exactly the kind of store we love. As luck would have it, we walked in just before a book signing ended, for Crooked Snake! My mother, being a fan of True Crime as well as an avid reader and local-business-supporter, immediately bought it, and is looking forward to reading it by the pool at the hotel.

Crooked Letter is a very open, bright store, so despite being relatively small, you don't feel trapped. You're greeted with a huge smile, but they aren't overbearing. They allow you to take your time and look. Of course, the author was so friendly and kind that we spent most of our time talking to him, and will likely have to return to Crooked Letter tomorrow!

For my fellow tourists: if you'd like to bring home souvenirs that are actually somewhat related to where you went, and not just the same ol' “I went to XYZ and all I got was this lousy t-shirt!”, Crooked Letter is definitely the place to go. High quality products that for sure made in Mississippi, right downtown (next to Weidmann's!), and a pleasant place to look...

I cannot brag enough about this shop! I was heading home for the weekend and desperately needed a birthday gift for my mom. I was at a gas station trying to find a target, when Crooked Letter popped up. I decided to check it out and I am SO glad that I did! The staff was very helpful, and the shop itself clean and beautiful. I ended up finding not only a birthday gift, but a house warming and baby shower gift for other friends. (as well as several candles and other goodies for myself! lol) I am sad I don't live in town to shop here more- but will be ordering from their...

The cutest gift shop in downtown Meridian! A must if you’re passing through, just moved to the area, or a local. They have great local gifts and items from all over Mississippi.
