First time visit. My wife and I went on a date night. I made the reservation for 7:30pm last Friday night. Upon arrival we were seated quickly and was waited on for our drinks (we got water to start) However, we were seated right in front of a stair case and the table was next to a wall and super close to a party of 7. We had a hard time talking to each other due to the table next to us. They were super close and loud. I understand trying to maximize seating for profit. However, there is such a thing as to crowded and terrible table placement, which we felt. The lighting was an ambiance that was dark, and the "porch lights" in the ceiling caused shadows, making the menu hard to read. My wife ordered the Harvest Filet 8oz Steak (36$) and had green beans (that were undercooked) and mashed potatoes (that were dry). She complimented the steak, but it wasn't worth the price. I ordered the Harvest Burger (13$, $1.50 for added cheese), and it came with fries. The burger was burnt, and the fries looked like they were from the bottom of the bag and were cold. We didn't finish our meals. My wife ordered a glass of wine (no red Moscato though as she wanted), and I ordered an Amaretto sour. The drinks were ok. The waiter was attentive, maybe over attentive, but better than not being there at all. When it was time to get our bill, the young man brought it out and walked off, then returned stating he forgot to charge us for the wine and asked for the ticket back. We obliged and paid the 75$ bill. When we left, we walked by 3 staff members, including the front hostess, and not one said anything to us in regards to "Thanks for coming" or anything. Well, that was our experience and why we have...

Ordered a PBR in a can for me, and a cocktail for the ole'lady, fried calamari as an appetizer, then the smoked pork belly and BBQ shrimp, wedge salad, and New York Strip as a split entree.
Inhaled the calamari.
We asked our very hospitable waiter, Keith, to have the steak sorta Pittsburgh burnt on the outside but with it being medium to med/rare. Steak comes out of the kitchen literally taking up the entire plate, almost hanging over the sides. Huge steak. I don't know if it was the quality cut of the meat, or the ridiculous skills with Chef Mike in the kitchen, probably a combination of the two, but we enjoyed the finest steak we've had in well over a decade. Perfectly cooked. Unbelievable flavor. Absolutely the finest steak we've had in forever. No comparison. Potatoes with the steak were superb, salad fresh and perfectly complimented the meal, and shrimp and pork dish was savory as well.
Finished it all off with bread pudding. Even though we were stuffed, the bread pudding was so good we ate all of it. Could not stop ourselves. Then we boxed up leftover steak, salad, BBQ shrimp pork dish. Portions-a-plenty to take home.
Very fine meal. Service was excellent. Keith is a very hospitable waiter, Chef Mike is a culinary master. We had such a good time, enjoyed ourselves immensely. Food superb. As far as spending money on food in Meridian goes, Harvest Grill and the Punjab Palace are the best. Waste of money to go...
Read moreThe food was great overall! We were in town for a conference and a few of us had dinner here the night before the start of the conference. We were in the private area upstairs, two tables full.
Drinks: — Jalapeño peach margarita. This was so great that I got a second.
Starters: — Lettuce wraps. HIGHLY recommend!! I had the wrap with the filet and was VERY impressed. — Sausage cheese plate. I didn’t have every item on the plate, but I ENJOYED the watermelon rind and I do not eat watermelon at all. I also had the cucumber. Otherwise not much to write home about.
Entrees: — Chicken Athena. Those who had this (about 3 or 4 at our table) were not impressed with it. — New York Strip. It was actually decent — prepared to my specifications. The added mushrooms were a little too done for my liking, but I would go back to try it for sure.
Dessert: — Banana crème brûlée. I’m sorry, but I do not recommend lol. It seems restaurants in MS do not know how it’s supposed to be prepared and that’s sad. — Chocolate bourbon pecan pie a la mode. I did not try this but the ones that did were not over the top about it. — Chocolate molten. They said this was doable but it was not better than the popular pizza chain that serves them lol. I’ve never had either so I have nothing to say lol — “County Fair Style” bread pudding. RAVE RAVE RAVE reviews. This was AMAZING! If you get no other dessert, definitely get this. I’m not a bread pudding person but this...
