I told Mike and Trevor at the Dorr Ave. Fairfax store I needed wire for ceiling can lights that are on a 3-way switch, as in wall switches in two different locations, a pretty common residential electrical situation. They told me I needed 6-3 wire. My 50 feet of 6-3 wire cost over $200. Within minutes of getting home, it was clear that the 6-3 wire is NOT correct. The correct wire is 14-3, which would have cost around $50. They sold me wire suitable for something like a convection oven, not simple ceiling lights. I called them right away and told them. They acknowledged it was THEIR mistake. They said they do not accept returns and will not swap out the expensive wire they told me I needed for anything I actually do need.
