Bailey Jewelers — Local services in Merritt Island

This was my first time visiting this local jewelry shop, and I was very impressed. I came in to have my watch batteries replaced, and the owner, a kind and professional lady named Carol, did it very quickly. The price was also quite reasonable.

I recently saw a negative review supposedly written by a so-called doctor, who harshly criticized the shop for offering a low price for gold. It's shameful for someone with such a background to use his voice to curse a small business owner who is simply trying to earn a living. Is it really appropriate to make such hurtful statements?

From my understanding of the jewelry market, buyback prices are typically lower than the market rate due to various costs. I simply asked about the buyback price for a ring and was offered around 20% of the original price, which is completely normal in the industry.

Carol runs this shop by herself, and she deserves support, not disparagement. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and there’s even an adorable, chubby dog that made my visit even more pleasant. I recently had a great experience with getting a new battery replaced in my watch at Bailey’s Jewelry. The owner was very pleasant to work with and very knowledgeable to say the least. I’ll be honest I was skeptical at first with reading the recent 1-star review. However, I question the authenticity behind Dr. David Callaway’s review. First thing was when he said his 1oz gold of pure gold was worth over $2,600, when gold has never been that high. Second thing is, if he really is a doctor, the grammar used in the review is very poor. Sorry if this sounds bad, but a high school student would write a better review. By the way, there should be a space between Dr. and David. Third thing, this doctor has 274 reviews and 31 photos. Why are they all hidden?? I did a google search for Dr. David Callaway. Bailey jewelers was recommended by a friend and in the past I had a bad experience from a jeweler in the village so I was ready and excited to try a new place. They were so professional and so quick to take care of me. I had never had that kind of professionalism. They repaired a necklace and they re-tipped a diamond on my wedding band and a full cleaning. I never imagined that my wedding ring could ever look this good. The ring brought back so many emotions from the very day my husband gave it to me and I was literally in tears. This place is amazing.
