Five Guys — Restaurant in Merritt Island

Had a horrible experience at 5 guys merit island Florida this evening. We are repeat customers and we always order online and pick it up. We did the same thing to. Night and got our food home. The fries were so saggy and the burgers were plain. They had no toppings, so we paid 30. Let's see $31.54 4 for saggy fries and a plain burger. We could have eaten a whole lot cheaper at. McDonald's and it would have been better than this. So when I called to complain the woman that answered the phone told me she has been there for 14 years and that's never happened well. I didn't ask how long she'd been there. I don't care how long she's been there. My point being I called to complain I wasn't blaming anybody. She kept saying it's not my fault. It's not my fault. I never said it was. There must be a glimpse in the system online. Because what we hit is, you know, it gives you an option to reordered. The same thing that you ordered the last time. And that's what we always do because we get the same thing. But for some reason it went through of just having played burgers OK, it was a glitch in the system fine. Then she offered me a refund and I said OK and she proceeded to tell me that we should not hit the reorder thing again. We should put in separately every time. Okay, fine. So then she took back her offer for the refund and said no. I'll get you next time you come in. And I said nope, that's not okay, but she said oh, you don't trust me and again, it has nothing to do with trust this as business. So then she told me. I needed to go to church and hung up on me. So I tried calling back. She wouldn't, they would not answer the phone. We called multiple times therefore I will be contacting your cut corporate office in the morning. I've already left a voicemail. I'm gonna leave reviews wherever I can and I'm also gonna lodge a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. Being treated and talked to this way is totally unacceptable for a paying.Repeat, customer.I am appalled at her behavior.. I'm not gonna be insulted and talk down to when I did nothing wrong. I LOVE Hamburgers! Just like "Wimpy',from Popeye, "I would gladly pay you on Tuesday for a hamburger today." And, this is the reason why my burgers ONLY come from 5 Guys! First, they always greet you as walk through the door. You never have to wait because there are plenty of employees ready to serve. The menu is simple. Cheese OR no cheese. And, then, it gets difficult depending on which of the dozen or so toppings you'd like on your burger. I particularly like to add green peppers, grilled onions & jalapenos to my burger, plus 'several' other savory toppings because I come from New Mexico where 'heat ' rules. The fries come in 2 sizes: large & ridiculously large. 2 people can share 1 large order w plenty to share. The sodas come in 2 sizes ,as well, but just order the regular size ,as they have an all-you-can-drink option with their Coca-Cola 'Freestyle' fountain offering a "whatever you can dream up" option of flavors to wash down those perfectly salted French Fries that are hauled in directly from wherever they happen to be the best,at that time; you'll know because the restaurant writes in chalk on a blackboard over the hundreds of pounds potatoes. Oh and, something worth mentioning, are the delicious whole shell peanuts that you can snack on while your burger sizzles...

I’ve gone to 2 five guys this one and another one nearby and I’ve had both their burgers and am disappointed. For a 9 dollar burger I expected to experience a beautiful flavorful burger from perfectly grilled meat but instead I got the TOTAL OPPOSITE. The burger lacks flavor and feels like I’m chewing on rubber, it is for sure one of the WORST burgers I have ever tried in my entire life and all my family members agree. McDonald’s has better tasting burgers for a way cheaper price. After eating the burger I would always get the feeling of the food being stuck in my stomach area as well as the constant urge to throw up, this affected my sleeping especially since I had it after sunset on both occasions. In other words the burger kind of caused me stomach burn on some degree and the only reason I came was because I was dragged here. I give this restaurant 2 stars because the fries are not that bad and the place is pretty clean, other than that I honestly feel like throwing up.

UPDATE: one of my family members ate the whole burger last night and has been sick all day. They have taken medication to cure the excruciating stomach pains they have been experiencing but it is no use. I hope they get better soon but trust me I will never eat another 5 guys burger in my life no...
