Balloon Junkie — Local services in Mesquite

We had a baby shower here recently My sister which is 8 months pregnant rented this place. The very first thing that I saw when going in was definitely is not that bad and its affordable but the owner had us unfold all the chairs and tables which by the way they were very old. The chairs were in bad shape where I didn’t feel safe sitting my pregnant sister there and I was concerned because we also had 2 grandmas . But that’s all we had. Then we started setting up the round tables and wow I could not believe my eyes, they had tape all around the perimeter of the circle and the legs were not that strong and one didn’t have a screw but then again we had to use it because that’s all we had. we put table covers and decor on top and nobody would have guessed they tables were old. The story does not end here, my brother in law fell back while carrying my 2 years old niece and he hit his head and I’m sure his back too hurts and all because of the owner’s old chairs. This could have ended really bad and praise God it didn’t. The owner reached out to my sister and charged her an extra $150 for a damaged chair and and table and my sister told her No because someone got hurt on the chair and because the tables were already damaged so the owner told her to give her a 5 star ⭐️ on the website and on Google which is so crazy to me. This place does not deserve a 5 star sorry but NO! We cannot do that and lie that this was a good place to rent. ALSO before I forget, her contract says that a professional cleaning agent comes and cleans but then she asked us to clean the place up and throw the trash in the big bin outside. The contract also says that each booking includes Wifi and when we asked for the code to Watch TV she said “I can’t give you the wifi code” which is very misleading to us.

Again this is an affordable place to rent but the owner needs to change the tables and the chairs before one of your family members get hurt by using the same old stuff the owner has and also, website needs to be updated and mention that you want your guests to set up chairs and tables and leave the place spotless after and back to how...

I see other negative comments and dont understand them.

I called to see if she had something, she did and i said i would arrive within X time. Got here and she got me taken care of while she had to make a delivery. She seems to be all by herself so i can understand some minor tardiness but all completely understandable in this pandemic since people would rather be unemployed getting paid versus working hard like this nice lady.

backstory, i went to Party City and they said they had a 3 hour wait and the nice manager recommended her and sure enough i came here and was out within 30 minutes as a last minute order and during mother's day weekend!

support small businesses that have nice people working who try or attempt to help you in your last minute requests. its not always possible but she made the attempt and...

Ended up here because it looks like Party City has a constant helium shortage and we were unable to order balloons for my daughters graduation party and this Awesome Lady was right around the corner! The front door was locked so it appears that they are closed but I am so glad I called the number on the door. I met the owner and she is a very pleasant soul! She was patient and very helpful! I did not spend any more here than I would have at party city. I have to thank her for the much needed advice she gave to my daughter as she enters college! I'm so glad I did NOT pre-judge her on these reviews! I will be posting pictures soon! Thanks Balloon Junkie You...
