Customer service is extremely lacking in this store. I walked in and did not get greeted even with 2 cashiers working. There were maybe 4 customers in the store at the time besides me. I walked down every aisle passing 2 other associates which neither asked if I needed help or even acknowledged me, even after making direct eye contact. So after I went up and down every aisle for the 2nd time, I was walking back to the front of the store and passed 2 workers. Again neither asked if I needed help finding anything after seeing me for the second time empty handed. I asked one lady "do you work here?" Because she clearly didn't seem to know how to engage with a customer. She wasn't very friendly and never even smiled. She did find the product I was looking for so that's 1 star. It's pretty sorry for a small hometown store to be so short and lacking in basic customer service skills. A little smile, hello thank you for coming in, or even thank you for stopping in would go a long way and help bring repeat customers. Next time I'll just make the drive to Reidsville. Have a...
Read moreI had to pick up an item my husband needed to complete an electrical project. Upon arriving at the store I noticed that there was a number of hunters mingling around the front counter. I was able to get a young man’s attention and explained to him what I needed and showed him a picture of what my husband sent me there to pick up. He appeared to be put out by my asking for help. He ultimately gave me what I assumed was what I was asking for since I know nothing about electrical boxes. Needless to say what he gave me wasn’t what I had asked for. Of course after traveling back the 15 miles to the house it was too late for me to go back and get what my husband needed. If you’re in the retail business I strongly suggest you treat your customers with a little more respect and try to accommodate them. As my husband said, we could have shopped at Lowe’s and expected this...
Read moreI recently visited Trap ell Tomlinson and had a rather disappointing experience at the register. The cashier was quite rude, displaying a clear lack of customer service. Their demeanor made the checkout process unpleasant and frustrating. They give me the wrong change I was $20 short, and they treated me with no respect! Thankfully, the situation was completely turned around by the owner, who stepped in and resolved the issue with exceptional politeness and efficiency. It's clear the owner understands what good customer service looks like. While I appreciate the owner's intervention, it highlights a need for better training. These employees need to be trained on basic customer interaction and etiquette to prevent similar incidents in the future. I hope to see an improvement, as the owner's commitment to customer satisfaction truly...
