I didn't know what I was getting into when I stepped into this place. I'll start with the bad because it's a such a short list. Paper plates, plastic flatware & the only tea offered is bottled. All very trivial concerns compared to the flavors, quantity & presentation of the food! I ordered a large chicken burrito not realizing it would be large enough to feed 2 (especially after the bean dip and salsa). The staff speaks English fluently and helped me understand parts of the menu when ordering.

A note on the flavors. I'm very white about spice so I know to test the waters slowly with a new Mexican based dish. Every single thing was flavorful in it's own distinct and delicious way. nothing was over spiced to hide the cheapness as many places do. I separated the burritos make up and tried each part individually of the others to find each part was truly delicious on it's own, the chicken is juicy, rice & beans are firm but not hard and everything was seasoned to perfection. My drink is pineapple juice and a bottle of water to clean the pallet between samplings. I will definitely be back and highly...

My wife, son, and I had a late lunch there. This was the first time eating there. The inside of the restaurant is nothing special, but that would be ok if I liked the food. There was a constant flow of customers, so people like it. My wife had tacos al pastor. They looked great, but she said that they were bland. My son had the chicken and rice plate. He liked the chicken but not the rice. He did not give details on why he did not like the rice. I had Birria tacos and rice. The tacos were too salty for me. I did like the rice, but it was very oily. The food is served on paper plates with plastic utensils. Our food was not serve all at the same time. The staff are very nice. The have established relationships with their frequent customer. I only gave them a 3 on the service because the food did not come out at the same time, and the order was wrong in terms of the numbers of tacos we ordered. When I add in the tip, it was $20 per person. Not exactly what you would expect from a mom and pop restaurant that sells...

Aly's is a touchdown, home run, and knockout wrapped in a freshly made tortilla!! I traveled to Mexico in 2004 and this is the first time I've eaten a meal since that took me back. What a great food experience! We were greeted warmly right when we walked in. We picked our table and then were given some of the best tortilla chips and salsa I've ever had! I washed that down with some house made pineapple water. My meal was chorizo tacos and they were bang'n!! My wife had chicken quesadilla and she was very happy she did, too. While we were eating, the chef came to check on us. He was very kind and welcoming. Aly's is authentic as they come and, I promise, you need to eat there! If you're hungry, get off the interstate, drive your butt past the boring, passionless chain restaurants and go to Aly's! It'll be more than a great meal, it'll be a...

A true authentic gem. We had the best experience eating here. The restaurant is owned and operated by Aly & Rey. Aly works front of house, and Rey works in the kitchen. Aly is extremely friendly and intelligent in her service. Rey is friendly, goofy and he can freaking cook. He came around to our tables to interact with everybody, and see what we thought of his dishes. He even brought extra things to sample. I urge anybody reading this to please give this place a chance. They are the absolute best and deserve to be jam packed every night. We will be back on a regular basis. (worth the drive for surrounding counties and travelers on I-16 - you will be blown away).
