Five Below — Local services in Miami Gardens

This Five Below is in the same plaza, the Gardens Promenade as the new Daiso. I thought Daiso might have taken some of their business but both of these discount stores were quite busy on a Saturday afternoon.

The first Five Below opened up in 2002 in Pennsylvania and there are now 1,850 stores throughout the United States. Five Below has been rapidly expanding. The concept of the store is everything costs $5 or less. At least it used to be. Something I noticed through the years is that they are offering more and more items over $5, especially tech, more elaborate holiday decorations, and room decor. They now have a room in the back of the store where some of the items are as high as $25. Their inventory is mainly marketed to kids and teens. Expect to see a lot of nods to pop culture.

If you have a young person in your life then you are probably well acquainted with this discount chain. Departments include seasonal decorations, tech, work out, play, beauty, and snacks. You can't beat their $5 t-shirts and I always find myself drawn to the snack aisle. When my daughter was younger I would shop for inexpensive birthday party presents, stocking stuffers, and cheap room decor. I am updating my review as of today Febuary 04 2023. I would like to start off by saying the store is good and it's a good variety and hobby store. You can find a lot good things overall and especially for children. I come here often and never had an issue before and for the most part everyone has always been nice. However, Ms. Wilma( the blond hair lady skinny ) is rude and someone should inform her that they need to make sure they have a restroom available for customers. I am a regular customer and I often come here I had an emergency and for almost 10mins was deny the use of the restroom. Until Ms.Michelle came and open the door for me apologizing I was denied the first place. Thank you Michelle I really appreciate the help I honestly was trying to break the door. Using the restrooms is a protected right if you don't hand the key, someone should be available immediately to open the door. Someone could be having medical emergency and may need a restrooms. I hope the store manager Ms.Jessica sees this and takes action on this matter. Aside fr this situation I do generally like coming to this store and I do recommend if you are in the area. I went to five below looking for a pair of sunglasses however when I got there they didn't have the style that I was looking for they have limited supplies while they last, but the deals are super great and there are so many items to choose from with great prices.
