Crafty Crab - Miami Gardens — Restaurant in Miami Gardens

So, I waited until I was no longer annoyed to post this review. We stopped by thus location to see if they could accommodate a large party (22 people). The nice young lady at the counter recognized it was a really large party and asked us to wait while she got her manager. The manager came out and said, "no problem!". They took my name and phone number, advised me of the 18% gratuity charged for large parties and we left. The day of the event we called to see if 4 more could be added to our party. We were told they could not accommodate (even at a nearby table) the addition to our party because they were full. No worries. We had a few cancelations so it all worked out. We arrived ON TIME to a practically empty restaurant. Part of me was excited because I knew the service would be quick. The other part was annoyed because they were obviously NOT full. The service was HORRIBLE! Here are some highlights: The manager sent over ONE waitress to serve us...20+ people....1 server. The MANAGER brought me a hot rum and Coke and thought I was irrational for asking for ice. Taking the drink order took an hour. An hour and a half after being seated We were STILL waiting for drinks. Food order took almost an hour to take. I had to tear paper off the table and take half of the orders MYSELF. The youngest member of our party was forgotten about. We ended up canceling his order. He got full on other people's French fries and the bowl of lemons the server put in front of him (I am not kidding). I asked the crowd of girls (doing nothing) at front desk if they would be available to help the 1 server. I was told that the manager would not assign us another server as to not have to split the gratuity. As an attempt to apologize, the server came over to the table with Crafty Crab paraphernalia...WHY would I market your business after that service?! At this point we collectively decided we were NOT giving them 18%. So, we paid in cash. When the server saw the discrepancy she went to get the manager who tried to say we HAD to pay the 18% and wanted to know what was wrong with the service (after we had complained ALL NIGHT). We respectfully advised him they weren't getting another dime out of us, made sure all the checks were paid and left. I WILL say the food was good. But for me, the service soured the experience. If the manager didn't have the bandwidth to service a large party he should have just said so. If you have a smaller party you may get better service. Large parties, go elsewhere...

It’s my sister’s birthday wanted to give a good birthday dinner yeah sadly that didn’t happen. everyone got their food first but hers the waitress didn’t even put her order in we had to wait for it we had to ask ANOTHER waitress to check on her order by the time she got it and we all ate together everybody else food was closed. We had to repeat ourselves several times. She didn’t refill the napkins we had to ask another waitress cause the one we had was never to be found. Three orders were wrong we didn’t complain but once the check came she tried to charge us extra things. My brother tried to correct her about the wings that he asked for and she flat out said he did not say that and ignored it!!! We all heard him tell her EXACTLY how he wanted !!! She didn’t take the order right she didn’t care to check on us we had to keep asking for things horrible service! She gave us a check while we were still EATING ! Definitely did NOT deserve a 32$ tip plus didn’t even give us the change ! I don’t care if it was 4$ she did NOT deserve it at all it’s ridiculous!! We couldn’t even order my sister a dessert cause she basically...

the food used to be better and the customer service has definitely worsened.. I came with my two kids and waited at the front kiosk to be seated for almost 30 minutes, plenty of employees walking past no one said anything.. usually you would be seated within 5 minutes of walking in the door.. after I requested to he seated the took very long to take my order and only brung our drinks. We ended up using that time to wash our hands less than 5 minutes later when I came back my table was cleared our drinks & menus were gone & someone else was sitting in our booth! No one apologized they offered me a seat in the back of the establishment, which I wasn't going for at all, this isn't the 1930's I'm not sitting in the back of a restaurant because of a mistake that you all made! Food was cold, they didn't have onion rings for the kids or apple sauce but wouldn't offer anything else except fries.. servers aren't friendly had to wait 30 minutes until I seen her again to ask for a spoon.. then another 20+ minutes to ask for the check since she never came to check on us!!
