Update added: As you’ll see with most of the negative reviews, the owner loves to blame the customer in each one, love that, and it’s always a reflection of the type of business they are. I did not keep changing my mind mid way in the process ma’am. In fact, your stylists were talking about how surprised they were at how well it was lifting, so I thought things were on track. I was given no indication that we weren’t going to do what was discussed until they were pulling foils out of my head. And of course I would’ve liked more then 10 rushed minutes to figure out what color I now have to live with instead of what I was quoted for. And even then the stylist couldn’t deliver a simple full color process. Didn’t bother to check the students work until she was washing my hair, and thought a couple extra minutes on the missed spots would somehow blend with the rest of my head.
Why would I call the location to discuss, you got plenty of my money (over 500$ for Supercuts quality work) and time - I’ve got none left for you - sorry! Just hope my honest review will save someone else’s wallet!
Meh. Have gone to this salon a handful of times for a decent cut, but coming in for color was a mistake. I thought scheduling a consultation would ensure the stylist could achieve what I wanted or discuss options with what was achievable. The stylist seemed very confident, even said she was excited and asked to take “before” photos (spoiler alert - there would be no “after” photos requested… lol). But as soon as my hair was processed, I was explicitly told there was no way we could do what we had planned. Ok… really sucks to have wasted both of our time (hoursss because I have A LOT of hair) and to pay $$$ for my whole head to be lightened just to have the whole strategy shut down. I completely understand that there is no way to control how the hair lifts and you can only work with whatever you can get to, but a little bit of problem solving skills and suggestions would’ve been nice. Instead I got pretty much nothing and was rushed into looking at a bunch of dark permanent dyes to put on top of my newly orange head, as if it was my fault we were short on time and a plan. On top of rushing me to restrategize, my stylist had a student help her apply the dark color, which was fine but I expected the stylist will monitor the student’s work. Instead I have a head of half dark brown hair and the other half is a lighter brown with orange splotches showing through. I wanted to laugh so hard when the receptionist asked me if I wanted to schedule a follow up. Y’all had two chances to process my hair nicely and you missed lol. Just wanted to share for anyone that wants to avoid...
Read moreThis was my favorite salon so I’m REALLY bummed to even feel the need to write this.. It took me a long time to find them and I drove 40 minutes each way to see them for almost 4 years. Unfortunately things have gone downhill. The owner and one of the stylist didn’t put the interest of immune compromised customers first. They chose to not wear masks. The last time I went I sat next to both a stylist and customer not wearing masks. Before scheduling again I asked if it was possible to come at a time when everyone would be wearing them. I was told no. This was surprising as they sent emails and posted on Instagram about all kinds of precautions taken. I didn’t see any extra cleaning which was another thing promised. But if the owner doesn’t even feel the need to wear a mask around customers.. that says it all. I feel bad for all the stylist who lost long time clients because of the owners choices.
Additionally the turnover in this place has gotten crazy. Especially in the last 1-2 years. Every time I went someone else had left. In the 4 years I have gone only a few people have stayed. It’s a shame because the stylist are very talented and the prices are fair. I will miss Danielle (she manages the front desk) most of all. She’s the sweetest.
If you choose to go to tease- or currently go make sure to find your stylist on social media so that you can go with them if they leave.
Since I cannot respond with another comment I will do it here
Nancy- First of all.. I was told that there was NO guarantee even on a Saturday that everyone would be wearing them. Because you allow clients to not wear them too.
Secondly- I went to a salon before moving to Cleveland for 6 Years. There was very very little turnover. Which is what happens when the culture of a business is good! When almost your entire team of stylist leave that’s another story and everyone new seems to vanish it’s quite telling. And furthermore it is DISGUSTING to use the death of Meg to try to make yourself look better. She probably would have left too.. just like the person who brought her to tease did. You can either learn from these reviews or not. Most of the positive ones are from 2 years ago or longer when the salon was a different place. It’s a shame. I’m sure you cost a lot of stylist clients this year because of you’re selfish no mask nonsense. Hope it...
Read moreResponse to the owner: No, prices are NOT discussed prior to services rendered. That is the exact issue and reason fo the review. I don't know a single person who goes the website to see all the "a la carte" options before coming in. As mentioned in my review if you read it again, there were charges for "extra color" and "toner." Over the last three years I've only been a handful of times, and never had price been discussed prior to services rendered. The attitude of "oh you never had a problem before and now you do" is deplorable. Take the time to read the other negative reviews complaining of the same issue, but doesn't sound like you'll change your practices or even care, so bye.
The partial highlight was fantastic and looks great, and my stylist was very kind. I have always been treated kindly here. When sitting in the chair, the stylist asked if I wanted a blow dry after and I asked if it costs anything extra and was told "No." At the end, for a partial highlight that "starts at $115" ended up being $227. They don't tell you how much every add on is that is considered a necessary part of the highlight. I asked the desk clerk to break down the prices for me at check out and she said it would show on my receipt. I should have just asked for a break down prior to being charged. Not sure if that would have even mattered. In addition to partial highlight, Half extra for color? $12 Toner $25 Treatment $35 - which I agreed to and wanted and was told the price. Blow out $40 !? 🤯 $40 just to dry hair for about 5 minutes? A haircut starts at $49 and includes a blow out...doesn't make sense. I wouldn't have a problem with the price if it was transparent from the start about what is included in a highlight and what costs are actually incurred as part of the process instead of just seeing surprise add-ons at the end. I wouldn't have had my hair dried if I knew it would be a crazy amount for that. No offer to remove the cost despite telling them I was told differently. No refunds at all per policy. Extremely disappointed and will no...
