Shopped at Goodwill in Middleton today and as I was checking out the clerk examined a price tag on one of my items and began to peel it back saying that it looked like the sticker had been replaced - I assured him that I had not changed the sticker. He looked at the second item which was similar to the first and believed that stcker had been replaced too. I again assured him that I had not changed that sticker either. He called over another and by this time there were four workers standing there. I asked them to check with the person who marks items and I was told several people price. The "manager" I think came out and said that she would have marked those two items $5.99 each instead of $2.99 each as they were marked. She was going to take those items back and remark the prices on them and would not allow them to be sold. I was allowed to purchase the other two items that I had in my cart even though she thought the price marked on one was too low. I was totally humiliated as others were in line listening to this whole ridiculous thing. Won't be going back to this particular store....inexcusable. if youre worried about the pricing you'd better be out there checking the prices that some of your employees are marking your donated merchandise and quit making a customer feel like a liar...
Read moreI come here to browse weekly on my lunch break. Often spending more then I should. Today I went in and came across two shelves. Different sizes both marked 19.99 but a set non the less. I picked my favorite to purchase. I wanted them both but asked the cashier if he could possibly ask manager to get them down to 30 for both as they were a set non the less. He respectfully asked a manager to come up. My experience in this store has been pleasant the few months shopping here until today. This manager not only degraded me by refreshing me that this store is a donation and goes for a good cause. So how dare me to ask for a deal on scratched use furniture. But also by saying the shelves came in only this morning and she knows good and well she could get 20 a piece for them! I said no problem mam. Ill just take the one! Then it gets better. She dramatically removes the second shelf away from the front of store as if I'd actually come back in to scoop it up. Knowing I only paid for one. Thankfully I was able to grab the shelf on my way out. Like, no need to be dramatic. Ugh! Wow! To this manager. I realize this store is to support a good cause. Tis why I shop here! However because of you. I'll be waiting to shop at more local...
Read moreI came here today and was told that all the orange tags were half off. I was there for at least 45 minutes and then went to check out. As soon as I do the woman tells me she told Me the wrong color I said I understand you made a mistake but I am not paying full price after you told me the orange tags were half off and asked to speak to the manager. Him And the woman next to him gave me a horrible attitude and both said that they would not give me the clothes half off. She told Me after she originally said the color was orange her co worker told her that it was the wrong color. She should have immediately said something to me instead of wasting my time but she didn’t. Literally all of your things are donated. People go to goodwill because they can’t afford brand new clothes. I will be speaking to corporate and will never be returning to your goodwill. You had no respect when I was polite. From what I’m reading your nasty behavior is a recurring problem. I’m shocked any of you have jobs
Also to everyone who says this store supports a good cause..less than 10 percent of their profits go to charity. The rest goes in their pockets. I honestly wouldn’t be surprised if the employees in this store steal by...
