Came in to return an item. At first there was going to be a problem because I didn’t have the original packaging which was a fully sealed plastic that was cut and torn up; wouldn’t have been usable. Manager was called, told them if they needed a barcode they could scan one from the stock they had. Manually did a “refund” without the need for scanning the barcode which was originally the reason I couldn’t do the return but apparently it didn’t really matter. Inserted my debit card for the refund, 3 days later no refund as of yet. Crazy thing is I got a refund receipt, somehow the lady manager either falsely did the refund or refunded it somewhere else. Every shopping trip is a little extra stressful these days during the coronavirus, and needing help from store personnel can be difficult. At Ace of Middleton Springs this week, I had a great experience. I did extra research on some projects beforehand, but ended up needing to ask for help. Jean and Adam were both so kind and understanding; they took extra time to help me and I felt completely satisfied with their expertise and with the whole shopping experience. The store is jam-packed with stuff but it doesn’t feel crowded, and I felt like they were taking extra steps to ensure safety for shoppers and employees alike. I needed a single nut for my car but I wasn't sure if the size. I was going to guess and if wrong just eat the .27 as a loss if I guessed wrong. The very friendly salesman went above and beyond by bringing the entire tray of nuts off all sizes out to my car. I also needed a couple 300 watt light bulbs but I was going to order them off Amazon as I really doubted they would have that size. The salesman lead me to the light bulbs and low and behold there were the 300 watt light bulbs and they were $3 a piece of cheaper than they were on Amazon. I can't say enough about this hardware...
