Appetizer: Takoyaki
Entrees: Spicy tuna roll I like sushi roll Angel roll
First reaction: It's a cute petite little restaurant with outside seating. You will grab a menu and then go up to the cashier to place your order and then you pay. I only saw one sushi chef, however the seafood in the sushi bar looks quite fresh and the interior of the restaurant is well kept. The utensils are self serve which is not a problem.
Takoyaki review: I love takoyaki, it's a must have whenever a restaurant has it on their menu. I've tried many takoyaki in different restaurants and the taste has always been superb. I like sushi is one of those restaurants that serve great takoyaki. The sauce that is served on top is a perfect blend of qupi mayo and eel sauce along with a serving of bonito flakes. It's good and is a familiar taste.
Angel roll: With 3 different types of sashimi wrapped around the roll which consist of tuna, scallions and rice. It's alright as a roll, I wished that it had a flavor blast that came with the roll. The scallions is a very strong flavor to go with the nice soft flavor of the tuna/white fish/salmon. I've tried it with soy sauce and wasabi and it was still quite hard to combat the scallion taste. However it is a light roll that is very nice to have after a heavy fried roll.
I like sushi roll: Their signature roll and for good reasons. It has shrimp tempura and fried soft shell crab within the roll and is wrapped with some sashimi pieces. Their spicy mayo sauce and eel sauce were great on the roll and didn't make the roll too soggy. This roll is a delicious roll to make as the face of the restaurant
Spicy tuna roll: Spicy tuna/spicy scallop/spicy salmon/spicy yellowtail. I've had all of these before, however spicy tuna was the first of these 4 that I tried. And it was amazing. The restaurant that I went very often had the best tasting spicy tuna, but sadly it has closed. And ever since then, my little brother and I have been searching for a place that satasfies our spicy tuna craving. So far, non has held the same caliber. However, this might be the one to take that stand within our sushi soul. The crunch that was added to the roll was so simple yet necessary, the texture felt incredible and unique. Now, the flavor the spicy tuna mix. It was intensely delicious with raw tuna taste and has a satisfying consistency to it. It had a good kick to it and the spicy mayo that was drizzled on top was perfect for the roll, making sure that the roll isn't too dry. It is absolutely, mouth watering...
Read moreTried this place for the first time today. Thought we'd go with some basic rolls (Philadelphia, eel, and eel cucumber) to see how we liked it before spending too much. Glade we did because much was left to be desired. While the Philadelphia roll was okay, the other two were not. In both, the eel was inedible, and the rice lacked flavor. It was like chewing on fatty rubber with no taste. There were maybe one or two pieces between the two rolls with eel that we could actually eat. The cucumber also had an odd taste to it. We got some of the scallion pancakes. The taste was alright, but there was a large amount of oil that they seemed to have soaked up, so they were a bit hard to eat. The dipping sauce with them was nice though. Can't say that we'll be going back, but the staff was friendly and pleasant to...

Also achieved unofficial influencer status with an I Like Sushi T-shirt. ————————— 2/29 Edit: We are now regulars here and the workers have remembered our usual order on the last two visits. Also, we’ve transitioned to dining in more often because my kids are convinced that you get ever so slightly more food in the regular bowls vs the to go containers….that could just be in their heads. —————————
Cute little place that I have now gone to a handful of times. 3-4 tables to dine there but I have gotten takeout more often. Quick/friendly service and reasonably priced sushi. Our whole family is obsessed with the...
