If we could give a zero out of five, we would. My wife and I purchased two, three seat reclining sofas in July of 2022. We recently moved our furniture around and flipped the sofas to break the other one in. After sitting on it for only a couple weeks, we noticed multiple holes in the sides of the back rests. Along with this, the other couch’s leather began deteriorating and is showing a disgusting looking white residue. We bought the protection plan on them, so figured to just call customer service and it would get taken care of.
Well, we thought wrong. Nobody was a help. Everybody said it was a “manufacturer error” and nothing could be done. If we wanted it fixed, it would come out of our pocket. We took the time to stop into two different stores and several employees, including managers and the regional manager, said it should be covered with no issues. The regional manager contacted a manager in the customer service department and said she could get us taken care of.
After hearing from her, she became a nightmare to get ahold of and in the end, said there was still nothing they could do. The furniture is now discontinued and essentially, we’re out of luck. But she made sure to pass along a phone number to the Furniture Doctor, which we would have to pay for ourselves.
Bottom line is, DO NOT buy from this place. They blatantly lied to us about the coverages of the protection plans and this furniture is just not holding up like we...
Read moreCONSUMER BEWARE! Most reviews you will read are extorted from customers at time of sale. While sales people are good folks. The company itself is basically a fraud in all areas. On October 25th. I ordered 2 sofas. It was verified multiple times before purchasing that it was in the warehouse and then I would have it within a few days. That I would receive a phone call with a delivery time. At that time I paid in full no financing. As of December 7, I still have not yet received my products. After coming back to the store to inquire, I was told they were waiting to receive the product from the manufacturer. When I said, I’d rather just cancel the order and take my business elsewhere multiple members of staff at the desk became belligerent with me and told me it would be a 30% restocking fee. For what you don’t even have it? Even the sales rep. Validated my claim that it was in stock when we made the purchase as they remember me and the purchase. As I’ve given it a few days to be able to write a review with the Level head I received a call today about a four hour window at the end of next week for delivery. My advice to any potential customer is to take your business elsewhere. I spent nearly $3,000 at Ashley Furniture in September for a couch set (a regular couch and a loveseat) that looked and felt great in the store. But what was delivered to my home was not the same product — different color, different cushion sizes, and noticeably lower quality overall. It felt like a cheaper version of what I picked out.
I went back to the store and they filed a complaint. Ashley sent out new couch cushions, and that’s when I realized the full problem — the replacement cushions were clearly made for the couch I actually ordered, and didn’t match the couches I received. In other words, this confirmed I had been sent the wrong product altogether.
Despite trying multiple times to get this resolved, Ashley Furniture has refused to make it right. I’m not asking for a refund — I just want the incorrect furniture picked up and a store credit to choose the couch I originally paid for. They won’t even offer that.
It’s extremely disappointing to spend this kind of money, trust a major brand, and get treated like my experience doesn’t matter. I’ve since filed a complaint with the BBB.
