Flavors Of Namasthe India — Restaurant in Middletown

I was at the 301 Travel Plaza in Middletown, Delaware on an overnight reset for my 10-hour ELD break when I stumbled across this place. I called in an order and was told it would be ready in about 20 minutes. To my surprise, when I drove over, it was ready in around 15.

It’s not the easiest spot for truck drivers , unless you’re bobtailing like I was. In that case, you can pull right into the plaza for an easy in, easy out. If you’re in a full truck and trailer, I’d recommend parking along the road across from the plaza instead.

Once inside, I was genuinely impressed. The staff were friendly, the atmosphere was welcoming, and the chicken tikka masala was some of the best I’ve had in a while. The setup is unique , a hidden gem tucked in the back of an Indian supermarket. Ingredients were fresh, the portion size was generous for one person, and the flavors were spot-on.

Excellent grocery store with all the spices and goods from India that you could want. The restaurant is tucked away at the back of the store and offers an array of vegetarian and meat dishes. We tried the potato samosas to start which were absolutely delicious. My husband took the recommendation of our waitress and got the Karivepaku Chicken and loved it. I had the Chana masala and loved it as well. All the dishes had such great flavor! Portion sizes are generous, perfect to share or take home for leftovers.

We decided to stop in for lunch. In the back of the grocery store is a little section where you can order and sit or you can get takeout. Food is fantastic and at a great price. We ordered a masala dosa, samosas, and Chana masala. All of the dishes were flavorful and had a perfect amount of spice.
