Port pizza Middletown — Restaurant in Middletown

Forgive me if this is long but I want to be able to depict the entire take out experience. Well at least my experience. Called to order take out for the first time. The lady picked up and asked if I could hold. I heard over the phone she gave orders to people in person and figured she would be right with me. Nearly 6 minutes later I am still on hold and she forgot to come back to the phone and left it off the hook. I could here what was going on in the kitchen but decided to hang up and call back. After calling back 10 times (because she left the phone off the hook) I finally got through. I ordered a XL pizza half cheese half pepperoni. The pizza was filling and could have been cooked more but it was some of the best pizza I’ve had in the area. Tried to order a Caesar salad but they were all out of Caesar dressing. Instead I ordered cheese fries and they were amazing! The fries were crispy and not soggy and the nacho cheese poured on top reminded me the nachos you get at a game. Would get those again in a heartbeat. Finally we wanted an all chocolate dessert pizza but the lady told me they were all out of the all chocolate cookie crust. We opted for the chocolate chip cookie crust and it was delicious and very sweet. 40 minutes later when I went for pick up I went in the front door. I thought I went in the wrong door because I basically walked right into the kitchen! There was a small table off to the right with a register. No more than one person can go in at a time to get food because that’s how tight and small the front area was. Overall, despite having issue ordering, them not having certain items, and the slightly undercooked pizza it was still a good meal and I would go back again over other pizza places...

This place is great for some items, not so great for others. I can't praise the Philly sub enough. It was sooo good! Lots of meat and cheese, and I loved the red peppers instead of green. The wings are bomb! So good. Crispy, plenty of meat. I had sweet chili and buffalo. Haven't had any other sauces. Garlic bread and cheesy breadsticks were really good too. Now for the items I thought could use some improvement. I had a calzone. It was pretty good, but the dough on the bottom was a little soft. Just a couple more minutes in the oven maybe? Less oil on the bottom of whatever its cooked in? The filling was great. I also have had the meatballs parm. The meatballs and sauce were good. I liked the noodles. But there was no cheese on top and it had not been baked. If the menu item was meatballs, sauce and noodles it would have been fine. But if you call something a parm, a chicken parm, meatball parm, sausage parm, it should have melted cheese on top and get run through the oven. I have not had any of the pizzas so I can't...

Food is always decent when we order from Port. Last night we we’re missing a portion of our online order and when I contacted the establishment to explain, I expected them to tell me I would need to call doordash for a refund, but instead, the staff was very polite and explained that they were out of curly fries which is why they sent regular fries, and our mozzarella sticks were going to be sent out right away with the additional order of fries we were missing. We received the remainder of our order plus a complimentary giant cookie for the trouble. Thank you for accommodating us so quickly and handling the situation so professionally. I wish I knew the gentleman’s name who I spoke to. ...
