Second Hand Treasures — Local services in Midland Park

My first thought every time I come here is that this store is so crammed with stuff that it has to be a fire hazard. The place is a dirty, fairly disorganized mess, but digging around is kind of fun. There is a rough system for organizing things, but stuff is all over the floor with even more items inside inaccessible cabinets and aisles blocked with items. They have lots of good stuff, but much of it is not priced and the rest is overpriced. When you ask for a price, she looks the item up online and that is the price. No wiggle room.

There is a lot of stuff outside. I noticed an old sewing machine table that had disintegrated from the weather.

The owner is very nice and loves to chat. If you are on a treasure hunt, go for it as the item is probably here.

Interesting business model at this place. Nothing is priced. When you express interest, the owner (I assume she's the owner) looks up the price on the Internet and then quotes you that exact price. The idea being, "Here you get to look at it in person, and you don't pay shipping." I figured, Two can play at that game. When I got home, I contacted the Internet seller, who happily sent me a video. I bargained with him and got the item for $400 less than what Second Hand wanted to charge. The lady that owns this place is not willing to negotiate. All of there stuff is over priced she practically gets all this stuff for free and charges a hefty price. All of her outdoor furniture and bikes are keep out side so if you find something you like it will probably be rusted. If the person that owns this place is reading this put down the price of everything. I am disappointed because there is so much cool stuff.
