I dropped my daughters computer off two months ago for a cracked touch screen. I called almost every week since leaving it, and was told they were still working on it. Finally, I was told yesterday that he didn't know how to put the computer back together. I told the owner that I would be there the next day. I just picked it up, and it's in about ten pieces. This computer was fully functional when it was left at A+. I just got off the phone with the manufacturer, and they want $675 to repair the computer, which is $75 MORE than what I paid for it. I have no choice but to bring it to another repair place and pray they can salvage something from this mess. The owner wasn't even there when I picked it up. The pieces were all over the shop. Some were upstairs, some were downstairs. I know that I am missing pieces to it. I didn't even get back the screws that hold it together! I am so disgusted right now. I am 99% sure that I am out the $600 that I paid for this computer.
Update- the computer was missing multiple important pieces. It's trashed. Also, the iPad that I dropped off with the computer for a screen repair was not done properly either. The frame was put on wrong, so half of the camera is blocked off by the black frame. Total loss was...
Read moreAs a forensic bookkeeper I have to be very careful as to who touches my computers. My computer guy is in NYC. Since moving here 8 years ago I have not found anyone that gave me the trust factor I needed to surrender my sensitive information to. Then my very expensive laptop lost it's mind. Kept asking "do you want to reset and lose everything". I called A+ and spoke to James. He told me not to worry and bring it in, that was at 2pm. I prayed all the way there. He reviewed the crazy laptop immediately and told me what he thought the problem was but I would need to leave it for him to do the analysis. He called me an hour later and told me I needed to update it. He gave me a price which was very reasonable. I gave the ok. I picked it up the following morning. I felt so good with them, A+, that I dropped off my mini computer and plan on dropping off my CPU units in a week or so. A+ is now my computer...
Read moreI brought my laptop to A plus last year to repair the hinge on the left side. The person who helped me fixed the hinge but said he could not attach the screen to the back. So he had glued it. In a short period of time the screen separated from the back and the plastic cracked. When I brought it back I was told that the guy who had helped me had been fired and my account could not be accessed because the kid didn't know how to get into the files. He also gave me some kind of double talk about fixing it and shrugged. So I brought it home and took a look myself. The screw which held the 2 parts together had fallen through and all it needed was a screw with a slighter wider head which I found in a can in the garage. So I fixed it myself. Every time I go in this place there is some kind of weird attitude going on like they live in their own culture and everyone else is an outsider. I doubt I'll...
