Milford Dairy Bar — Restaurant in Milford Township

Quick back story: My wife and I moved to Milford 3 years ago. We have two children 2.5 and 1 year olds. I grew up in a city atmosphere and love the community feel of Milford. Today I took my daughter on a Daddy/Daughter date for pizza and ice cream and it started raining when we got our pizza. I drove around Milford looking for a place we could stay outside and eat and thought of Dairy Bar because they have a tent to protect against the rain. I got there and nobody else was there besides the owner and his daughters, who I found out work there with him. I was concerned because we were going to eat pizza before ordering our ice cream and thought someone might be upset because we brought outside food to eat there. A few minutes into me and my daughter sharing pizza, the owner came out, and instead of running us away he personally thanked us for stopping by on a rainy day. He asked me how long I lived in Milford and told me how he has daughters that went through the school system and how proud he was of them. He laughed with my daughter and made our day better. We then got some delicious ice cream and brought some home to Mom. It's people and things like this that make Milford and the world as a whole a better place. It is also a testament to how if you treat people with love and respect, you may earn yourself a customer/friend for life. My family and I will never go elsewhere for ice cream and will recommend Dairy Bar every time...

I loved going to the dairy bar and have gone frequently. It has come to my attention that recently they stopped having a large cone option which I would always order for $5.80, which was fine. The last few times I went I would ask for a large but wasn’t informed that large wasn’t an option until one day i ordered a large and someone behind me ordered a medium and noticed that they were the same exact size. I mentioned it to the worker who then informed me large was not an option and that the options are small or regular… I’ve gone to the dairy bar for years and have always been given a large option. So I have stopped going to the dairy bar and instead drive a little extra to Matamoras’s polar bear where they do have a large option that is cheaper ($5.20) and i know I’ll be getting my money’s worth. Honestly, my only issue is that they don’t have a large and the “regular” size isn’t worth the...

My husband & I travel thru Milford often this time of year. We were to get ice cream to hold us till we reached home. I told my husband to get get me my usual, which is raspberry. If not available I'll take a hot fudge sundae with vanilla ice cream. When he brought it I was shocked. The cup was no bigger than a small can of tuna fish. There was only ice cream to the top of the cup, barely any hot fudge, and minimal amount of whipped topping. When he saw how small it was, he changed his to a large, which consisted of 2 small scoops of ice cream. I told him as I was eating it, I felt like a child because my serving was so small!! To top it off it cost $10! If you travel thru Milford, it a nice quaint town but they RIP you off at this place!! We won't be back and will make sure anyone we know that travels thru your quaint town knows not...
