Braserie Dearie! — Local services in Millcreek Township

I wanted to wait at least two months out from my initial first-time visit to Braserie to leave a review to see how the items held up after washing. My fiance gifted me a certificate for my birthday in January because he knew I just don't spend good money on my bras and wouldn't have done it on my own! I went in with only having one other friend tell me about her positive experience, so I didn't have many expectations. The storefront is clean and well kept and it's easy to maneuver to see items even with there being SO many choices. I had a stylist help me find my correct measurements (my own have been WAY off), and she pulled about 4 different styles for me to start with both from full priced and sales sections which I really appreciated. She worked with me to make solid choices so I could get the best use out of my gift certificate which I feel not many people would normally do! I left the store that day with two bras and the detergent to take care of them. Upon getting home, I wore each one under a sweater just doing things around the house to see how they felt while I moved and went about my day. One of the bras that I really felt was supportive I found the underwire to come up too far into my armpit area. I left the tags on and was EASILY able to return the item a few days later and swapped it for another item. Let me tell you, having a large chest can be A PAIN in all forms. These bras have given me the support AND lift. I feel like I am able to wear tighter fitting clothing again rather than cover up and hide my chest. I've also washed the bras a few times now and hang them to dry and they are wearing PERFECTLY. No snags, no color fading....I'm very impressed. They recommend replacing them yearly, so I'm hoping my fiance will just continue to gift me a certificate every January now haha. I have been going to this store for years, since I moved to the Erie area from Pittsburgh. This last time, I was very disappointed and will not be going back. I went out of my way to get to the store, given their new hours are extremely limited and inconvenient for people who work. Because of these limited hours, the store is packed and the lady who was helping me, who has helped me the last 3 times I have been there, so I know she is very good at what she does, was trying to help 2 other people. It was very unnerving and I feel like I didn’t get the help that I usually get there. As a result, I got the wrong size on both my items. I tried to exchange them and the owner would not take one of the things back because one of the workers said it smelled like perfume. It was sitting in my car all day because I had to run on my lunch break because there was no other time to do it, since the hours are so limited. Needless to say, I end up having to keep an item costing over $60 that does not fit me and I can’t wear it. I am very unhappy and won’t ever go out of my way to shop there again. I first went here about six years ago after my single-sided mastectomy because I really had no idea what I needed and what I was looking for. The ladies helped me so much with a breast form, bras and even a bathing suit that the form would fit it in well. Fast forward to a couple days ago when I noticed that a hole had formed and silicone was seeping out of the prosthetic form I have had for the last 6 years. Let me say the fact that it lasted 6 years says something for the product. Anyway, my husband and I moved to Florida a couple of years ago and unfortunately there is no place quite like this down here or at least not that I have found. Knowing I needed to order a new breast form I called up to Erie and the woman I spoke with, looked me up in the system, found what I had got before and told me exactly what I needed to order. The fact that I haven’t been a customer for so long and that they’re still willing to help says so much for the company.
