First time at The Times Cinema. It was a lovely experience. I saw Harvey. I love that they show old films. Two very nice young men greeted me and gave me my ticket and my drink. The tickets are not expensive compared to Marcus and I believe they have a $5 deal as well one day, but don’t quote me on that. The soda was large and I think about $5. Can’t complain. Marcus is way more expensive overall. Can’t say anything about the food/snacks because I didn’t have any. It was very quiet which I liked a lot. When you go to Marcus or other big theaters there’s lots of people and kids and the building is very big and there are movie posters and displays everywhere. It’s too much. This place is so quaint and quiet. There are two doors you can go through into the theater and then there’s a curtain you go through. The theater is pretty large. Lots of seats. There were more people there than I thought there’d be. Not crowded, but little groups here and there. The seats were very comfortable. The only thing that I could comment negatively about would be that the seats have high backs so it blocks the screen a little, but it didn’t bother me. That wouldn’t keep me from coming back. I’ll definitely be back to see more....

They had no idea what they were doing with programming, and were incapable of listening to suggestion-- note that I didn't say unwilling, but incapable. There was always a feeling that if there wasn't a movie that was a huge masculine film bro moving playing, that the patrons were a nuisance. On those screenings, and those screenings only, staff would talk loudly outside of the theater, dishes would be clanking, and we as patrons felt very uninvited. They had a pre-show of the first five minutes of an anime film for every screening which was appropriate for some films, but very inappropriate for others and made patrons feel unwelcome. Popcorn was $9 for a small bag with one refill. I'm disappointed that we lost this place for our rep screenings, but not at all surprised. This is fitting though, because the phrase 'disappointed but not surprised' was the phrase I felt fit the Times Cinema for this entire short run that it was reopened as...
Read moreDon't like the big movie theater crowds and bustling ticket lines? Do you enjoy being able to bring a beer into the theater with you? This theater has it all. Staff is friendly and helpful, from entering to exiting. Movie showing started promptly on time, and was not overcrowded. The screen is nothing to oogle over, but it is a large enough size to enjoy any movie, though if you're looking for an IMAX experience, you may want to look elsewhere. Audio was fantastic though. Chairs were extremely comfortable, and were set up in a way you could see the screen without obstruction. Best of all, get this: THE FLOORS WERE CLEAN. No sticky soda spills, no popcorn in the seats, and no sense that you were sitting in an unwashed chair. Seeing that the prices are comparable to other local theaters, I would definitely consider returning it they were showing a film I...
