MKE REC Wick Playfield — Attraction in Milwaukee

Great neighborhood ball field in the heart of the City of Milwaukee's West side, Part's of the movie Major League were filmed here. Close to Miller Coors, Harley, and the happening North Avenue restaurant and bar scene. Vliet street is a place that is slowly taking shape in Milwaukee as well with some new interesting businesses, across from and down the street from wick field. There are tennis courts here too, and a Suds Your Duds Laundry across the street, also next to the old Milwaukee third district police station where you can get right on the expressway, and a great sandwich and burger place called Fred's across the street. I don't know if it feels like they're only known for their baseball diamonds or if they truly are only known for their baseball diamonds. Also used for softball, of course, and kickball. Leagues there are pretty popular. Parking is the real downside, though. They have a lot, but it's not big. This is an updated playground with nice equipment & facilities. It's in a bit of a borderline neighborhood though so you never know what kind of "neighbors" you'll share the space with. Today there was a drunk couple making our hardcore by the entrance to the park, followed by a family bringing an unleashed pitfall puppy and letting it chase kids around.
