All Systems Go Games — Local services in Minneapolis

I can only comment on the video game part of this store, but, with that being said, this store is absolutely wonderful. I pity the person who wants to experience NES/SNES games today in their original format, pretty much every store, physical or online, treats every and any game from that era as if it were made of gold. Games like Punch-Out, Contra, TMNT2, these games are great, but they are not rare, and asking prices for them act as if they are. This store is a place you can go to, pick games up like these(if in stock) and pay what they are worth, not "let me check eBay". NES games like Jeopardy are $3-$4, as they should be, because it's just Jeopardy. It's the little things too. Some stores have an entire shelf for the instruction manuals alone, All Systems GO, if they have a manual for a game, it's just in the sleeve with the cart. They also take label condition into account, it's things like this that people who buy these games to play, really appreciate. So far I've met one guy who works there on Sundays, and man, I gotta say, it's really cool to be able to just talk to someone who enjoys what they are doing. It really makes a difference. Like most stores like this, game selection depends on what's being traded in, or sold to them, but what is there is good and the store is a great example of a business that you are not only glad to return to, but fully support and want them to survive. It's kinda crazy to think that the "retro game craze" ruined retro game stores, too many people got greedy too fast. They opened and closed in matters of months, mall stores basically becoming physical eBays when it came to prices. I haven't seen a game store like this in a long time, one that takes you back to when all this was fun. This a hard review to write and I don’t want to sound harsh…. I placed an online order for a preorder in June expecting it in August. I know all about preorder delays. However the publisher sent me an email that the reprints have been distributed. I understand something may have gone wrong distribution. However 3 small business game stores in my Iowa town have the same game available… for weeks. I then asked for a refund. I understood and accepted the no refund policy. I was then offered store credit or exchange. 2 weeks ago I selected a used game of the same value. Since then It’s been like crickets. No responses to any of my emails. I fully paid for a product and hope to get something out of it. Even an exchange. I will change my rating once I receive the game I ordered OR the game I selected for exchange. But please please don’t scam me from my hard earned money.

Absolute gem for board game lovers. Used games (in impeccable condition if not actually new), rent board games (rental fee goes towards price if you buy), and tons of new games and expansions. Prices fantastic. The used games list the online price right on it, so you know how much off you're getting. Magic, some figurines, Pokémon, and BluRay/DVDs too. Staff was awesome. Informative, but not at all pushy, knows their stuff, buy not at all arrogant. Had to get out of there before I bought more games than I know what to do with, really great value. I didn't catch the details, but they have a points reward system too.

I saw some other reviews mention an old building smell. Either they fixed it or it was temporary because I have a very sensitive schnoz and I didn't get that at all.
