As an Ethiopian, I know good Injera when I taste it — and ShegaFoods’ Injera is the closest to authentic I’ve ever had in the U.S. It’s fresh, well-preserved, and genuinely traditional.

Their express shipping is impressively fast — I received mine the very next day! But what impressed me most was the packaging: five Injeras in one plastic bag, each separated by a layer to prevent sticking. Everything was wrapped in aluminum foil with ice packs to keep it fresh during delivery.

I conferenced in my grandmother thinking that the language barrier issue would be solved but to my dismay; it only got worse. The staff member had the nerve to hang up on the call and I called back to ask why she hang up on me; she was not apologetic at all, she said the store was closing as if that was a good excuse. I'm just appalled by the lack of customer service skills that Ethiopian owned stores and restaurants/bars display.
